Hello all, I am not Dr Mike. I haven't been in the activity as long as Dr. Mike as, but I am a long time fan/volunteer of the great Carolina Crown and once a marcher in the corps. Dr Mike was a friend of mine when I "tried" out for Heritage in 1994. I went on to do Suncoast that season and then Crown in 1995. All pokes at Dr Mike aside, gotta give him some credit of wanting to start the drum corps again in his ill health. As far as I know he's very sick and hadn't much days left. I guess this is on his "bucket list". So trying to help a friend out. Luke

Heritage Junior( future DCI ) Drum and Bugle Corps from Loganville, GA is being re-activated. I have decided to start a formal search for a new director of Heritage Drum and Bugle Corps. I , Dr. Michael Schmidt the founding director of Heritage, will be in charge of this search. I will be selecting the director who will be in charge of the corps during its rebuilding period. That is how it is going to be, and this will not be negotiable. The new director will be responsible for all activities relating to reactivating Heritage. I am too sick with muscular dystrophy to be involved. I will only select the new director, and from that point on I will not run the reactivated drumcorps in any way. The new director will be starting Heritage all over again from scratch. Heritage has no debt, and no assets. In 1994 when Heritage decided not to tour every member of Heritage received a 100 % refund of all of their dues. Every one of Heritage's bills were paid in full. The position of Director will be a volunteer position. i meant this season. place 1st at 1st show... now going in 4th place. not sure where it will go from here. Maybe TOC shows have lower placements than other shows since its different scoring model.... any who... still a fan no matter what!

I hung out with drum corps Donny before semi finals. He was awesome to chat with!

My guess is 5k to 10k quarters and semis and 15k to 20k on finals night. I am sure 5k of that was no paying corps members.
