  1. Definitely MTX. I wore Dinkles in LER this past summer and my feet were screaming. MTX's are so comfortable that the boys in band wear them to homecoming, prom, or whenever they have to dress up. Multipurpose!
  2. Hey, that tenor player's a #### good friend of mine. Thank you for stopping all the bashing of him. I played tenors with him and he's a great kid, just there's a lot of stuff going on right now, so thank you all for chilling out. Anyways, this looks to be awesome. I can't wait to watch it! Also, the Disney thing, it's a cut scene during commercials called Disney 411. I was napping and that came up, I heard DCI, sat up (mind you I was asleep), screamed "Hey! My best friend marched in that!" drooled over the Madison Scouts player, then went back to sleep. I was at my friend's house at the time and she told me this. I kinda remember seeing the TV...
  3. It definitely depends on the corps, but I absolutely LOVED wearing a helmet... It just seems to make it so much more B-A. Aussies, in my opinion, are kinda earned. I just will probably always think of SCV, Cavies and Scouts up top with those aussies... It all depends on the corps though. LER should stay with helmets (which are the old 'Coats helmets :)), along with 'Coats and Phantom. It's just a corps trad, ya know?
  4. Well, I'm just gonna say that I agree that the lower corps, although it may be good for them, I don't think they should have Kuhn, Gusseck, or other big names. Not to discriminate or anything. If I was in a not so big name corps, yeah it'd be awesome to have them write for ya, but I don't agree. They had to build thier names up, and I look at their writing style as unique to the original corps. For them to go off and help another corps, it's awesome but I'm gonna get bored with the parts. Every line's got a signature, and pretty soon they're all gonna be alike. Not liking it.
  5. Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed and understood our show! Honestly, I didn't understand it until we sat down and talked about it half way into the season. Then again, in the beginning we didn't have as much visual stuff going on. The ending pillow was put in much later on, because people didn't understand. Thanks for the awesome review.
  6. I'm trying Bluecoats, if that doesn't work then I'll probably go back to Lake Erie Regiment. If only 'Coats online registration was working....
  7. My first drum corps show was the day before I moved in for my rookie year of corps. It was this year, June 18, the Toledo, OH show. Yeah, I marched a corps without ever seeing a drum corps show. I think that made the exerience a lot cooler though, because I had no expectations.
  8. Thanks! LER did come a long way this season. It was a tough battle, but it was well worth it.
  9. I didn't like the ladders this year. I got the whole fire theme, and the ladders were cool in that part, but after that they should have been out. I didn't like how they stayed on the field, they just seemed like an obstacle to me.
  10. We've made some dynamic changes to our show, hopefully that'l help with the drowning out of us. Also, retreat was absolutely amazing. I switched to baritone from tenors for LER on Thursday of #### week, it was like the 22 of June or something like that, and to talk to people from Crown during retreat who had been playing baritone for a long time, and especially to talk to another girl, it was amazing.
  11. That's PIMP! Go girls. Yeah, I'm a girl myself. Now, it would be sweet if there was an all girl tenor line, or bass line, or snare line, or just the whole battery be girls. Now, that's what I'm talking about. LER's numbers, in case anyone wants to know: 5 basses, 4 snares, 2 tenors. I believe 7 pit. Drumline's full.
