  2. Atlanta CorpsVets, 74.588, at DCI Georgia Dome Southeastern Championships, on DCA sheets. Tonight's Spirit home show at DCI Jax State U will have CorpsVets, Music City Legend and Alliance. More news to follow....
  3. Bump! Folks, many of you are truly procrastinating. Get your entries in!!!
  4. Sara, please add Question 6 so that I might better emulate KAHC: Do you add anything to your Wheaties? Trivia: Sara has been on Ellen DeGeneres...OK, just in the audience.
  5. I know a senorita who specializes in "squeeze chords"... ...Uhhh, never mind. Love the arc. Was fun doing that in aught six! Best of luck, CorpsVets!!!
  6. Alas, not me. I at least made it back into the U.S. of A. by July 4th. Sorry I missed the July 4th 'n 5th extravaganza. Hi to all!!!
  7. Been kinda busy driving through tropical storms, dodging boulders, fleeing to high ground due to flash flood y más. Just read the review. Once again, J.C., you've done a phenomenal job as only you can do. Ah, forget you. Hug Lisa for me. See ya' later.
  8. Thanks for the updates. Gotta love those looong treks from DCA South, but from Florida?!?!?!?!
  9. I was lucky enough to get a loooong interview with Joe Capone during the 1994 WDCHoF cruise. What a man!... ...Hmm, what storage box are those tapes in? I never did transfer all the tapes to print. Hours of interviews with so many legends. I hope lots of folks jump in on this needed project.
  10. How cool, how it completes a weird Renegades circle, for Larrie to be writing solos for Bonnie. Great to hear from ya´ Larrie! I´ll miss your Wild Thing playing this year. Miss jazzplayerradio.com tambien.
  11. Al Murray is phenomenal with Dynasty and corpsdom. He gets the Big Picture. Al's heck on wheels as a cap head and understands what corps need. Hence, Al is a huge reason why Dynasty is so prevalent. Other companies work quite hard, too, but Dynasty sure deserves this tribute. Other than calling out my name while I'm on the field, I get along fine with Al
  12. Tom, Was gonna contact ya', but I'll just tell you in public, thanks, and that you are a superb communicator. Ya' get the Big Picture!!! Since it appears that Tom has solved this thread (Corps should send updates to Tom (soon!) and Ace), I'm just turning it into an Ace Holleran tribute. Go back and read many of the phenomenal DCA Finals reports Ace has written in DCWorld. Subscribe! Folks, Ace Holleran is da' man with a quill pen. He can eat dinosaurs with the toughest hombres, announce like a gonzo Renaissance man who has lived corpsdom, butter up mayors who want to relive their drum corps youth, and socialize amicably with "Cheers" stars...Ace can write, too.
  13. Yep, those sure are some nice unis! Congratulations to Dir. Tom Slade and his staff!!!! Keep up the superb progress.
  14. Yep, when Bob and Annie Sullivan told me that Bonnie was gonna play and march again, when Pop and Bonnie confirmed it...Well, it was about the hardest news I've ever sat on as I agreed to keep it off-record per Bonnie's request. Ahh, drum corps. History relived! Thanks, Scooter, for posting the article!
  15. Bump in the night!...I've sent my postmarked entry for Under-Stage Quick-Change Artiste. Actually, since I won this category hands-down last year while Dick Pomerleau, Cupcakes Curran et al. did my job for me, I get to go under last anyway. [Repacking Hawaiian boxers.]
  16. Tom, I take back all the dirt I've dished ya'. Gargantuan gonzo post!!! Here's to a trooper, a magnificent lady!!! [Reminds me to pack RayBans to tolerate exposure to Barb's elder hubby.]
  17. Frank Lozar marched with Minnesota Brass, Inc., always looking younger than his age, marching the rapid drill of MBI on sop into his mid-70s, until a few years ago. Ken "Ace" Peterson marched with Empire for several seasons, through his 63rd birthday, I recall. I know his last season with Empire, but I'll let Ace say how old he is now. Ace is still out there with Mighty St. Joe's, along with the young Donny et al. When I picked on Jeff DeMello's age, and how young Francesca is, his comeback topped mine. 'Nuf said. Marching competitive drill, I was next-to-oldest in Empire, one of the elders in the Kilties, and the oldest in the CorpsVets. I consider myself a young whippersnapper, no match for Harvey, Lozar and others.
  18. Harry, Congratulations on your start-up. Best of luck in this venture. Love the name!
  19. Harry, Congratulations on your start-up. Best of luck in this venture. Love the name!
  20. Peace! Love! Thanks to one and all for tolerance! I feel the vibes! Tryin' to spread goodwill. If I rant, I might shut down this thread, as I have others in the past by stating my thoughts, especially about the rights of freedom of speech whether as a civilian or in uniform. From the anti-establishment scribe, former 70s hippie....
