I believe everyone in the Kingsmen for 2007 had paid over $3500. this covered uniform, travel, food, housing, gas, rehearsal halls etc......And yes they even had to pay for their banquet. I am sure if you ask them, they will tell you it was money well spent. -G

Good job PC on breaking 80!!

I know that members and staff from PC have been sick a week before they left on tour, some with Bronchitis. It's your basic one kid gets better and 2 gets sick scenario. Last year PC never marched a show with the entire corps marching, they always had at least one member out sick. I hope all the kids in all the Corps get healthy and perform 100% for finals. That would make for a Great competition and entertainment. -G

I was at the Rose Bowl on the 4th. The, lets just call them non-Drum Corps fans, started doing the wave during the Blue Coats show. They continued this for about 90% of their show. It was so loud at some points you could not hear the Corps perform, and the Blue Coats are LOUD this year. To top it off, all the Corps had to play a patriotic song...........TO THEM SITTING IN THE END ZONE!!! -G

That is kind of odd since he was introduced as Bob Amaya by Chuck Barris. The uniform looks OK, but yes it would have been great if the Kingsmen REAL rifle line was out there. But then again, it was the Gong show......... -G

He also marched Cymbals in KAC for the Rose Bowl. -G

Which Corps would be the 1st to bring back The National Squad and treat the American Flag like the old days? Why did they get rid of the American Flag anyways? I would think the Troopers, but I think Madison is still based on the Boy Scouts........... This picture gives me chills everytime I see it. I think the Crowd would eat it up and embrace all the Corps that showed respect to our Flag. What do you guys think? -G

Ahhh.....I think the Kingsmen Alumni Corps marched 124 horns with around 25 Contras, All G bugles. I bet that was loud. -G

I think Pacific Crest. But look at some high Schools who rely on Bingo to keep their marching bands alive. Without the bands......no quality marching members entering into Drum Corps. -G

Kingsmen had Bingo in 75. It became legal in 76 for them. -G

About half the Corps in PC is sick with some kind of flu thing. I heard a few of the guard are/were in the hospital because of this illness. Lots of holes last night. Hopefully they will be healthy for finals. -G
