watch out .... euponitone is very sensitive about holy name garfield.... the narration isnt very good though, i wonder why so many drum corps dont do narration as well as boa bands, is there something the bands know that corps dont?

no, but there is also no real idea in the cavies show..if you start stealing concepts like rolling in the ground with a billy joel show ..then yes= stealing. but what would u say if you saw that some one did a show theme , with a door, and different characters would come out and transform blah blah blah... you would say they were stealing from the cadets.. like i said, at least marc stole from himself, playing the same music... is very different from doing the same idea!

actually no you are wrong, marc syvester, did the same idea (before the cadets did it) with a high school band that he wrote for. If you still think im wrong ...ask him, hes very open about it, ..after all at least marc is creative, if anything he steals from himself! which is a heck of a lot better than stealing from others!

wow wow wow i really cant believe how truly confused you are, i said nothing about the cadets copying anything that west johnston "has done". only hoppy wanting to do a decleration show! which the band in question did do, i only linked lance to it, because of his association with the cadets and he is the band director of WJ. to be funny! so lets clarify, YOU- said that his school was copying cadets for there west point unis! rocky point and right foot step off. those comments insinuate that cadets have a patent on stepping off with the right foot?? that is hystercal! i never said that cadets did those things because of lance britt! wow... cadet borg?? anyone did the cadets invent the west pont uniform?? didnt think so! did cadets invent right foot step off? is there a patent on that? didnt think so! someone better call the military and tell them to stop stealing from the mighty cadets! playing one piece of music( rocky point holiday?? with a different concept is stealing?? didnt think so, ala holy name cadets from yea! bergen-allentown-field-new-pennsyvania-jersey at least west johnston has there own innovative concepts year in and year out, not copying anything from others! now cadets 2005 production??? yeah saw that in high school band before cadets did it! last year... well that needs no comment, as ive seen alice in wonderland done way better cadets this year?, watch kennesaw mt!!!they were great! and made more sence 2008?? well lets hope they dont take any more shows form high school bands. how bout get a creative design team for one of the most talented groups in the country! I would say open source is merely because they cant think of anything new on there own! sad really.

I think the declaration idea works great, its an awesome show idea. Especially when West johnston High school did it at boa last year! It was one of the best programmed ideas last year! Does hoppy go to boa to get ideas?? it looks like there are strains of kennesaw mt. high school 2 years ago, in this years cadets show! alot actually! personally i will laugh if the cadets did a decleration show as it was just done and done well i might add, best props at boa!! not to mention the band marches justlike cadets and have cadet uniforms, and the band director at west johnston has been the tour director for cadets for a while now..... interesting.......

I just have to say how truly cool it is that a non traditionally winning corps is fighting it out for the guard trophy this year. I think it is a testament to how truly great crowns guard is! Its seems to be a walkaway this year between crown and cavies, as they are both in a different realm than other guards. I cant see that changing much at dci, and who cares if they win or not. to me, crown is one of the best colorguards to have graced the field in many many years! they are a must not miss this summer!

i think you said it all right there, vanguards show theme revolves entirely around get the audience to yell eureka! i hate to break it to you,...but thats not a theme or a concept...its just getting fans to yell something. and to me it has 7th place written all over it......!

2 words fire bird.....interesting note, cavaliers did fire bird with adam sage and michael james in 1997, and 10 years later, phantom does firebird in 2007,.. with adam and michael as well. lets hope they both dont get seventh place

this could be a fun poll, colorguard is so different this year, its just about always blue devils, and cavaliers winning colorguard for the longest time, with cadets winning once in 05, but just like dci, pretty much those three dominate world championships, as well as colorguard trophys, when is the last time someone besides those three have won guard at dci?? its an interesting season thus far as crown has been leading in the colorguard caption pretty much thruout the season, and they are pretty much a 7th place drumcorps right now....this seems highly unlikely, but...they are pretty unbelievably good. whats going to happen? what should happen? what would you like to see happen? many questions to be answered maybe san antonio will give some insight!

Has anyone noticed that the 12 rifles at the end of crowns show, put on the numbered racing skirts that horses wear in a race? And more importantly to me, or funny i should say!! the colors are representative of the top twelve drum corps?? correct me if im wrong, but i saw burgandy with gold number, cream and purple, on the winner of course, vanguards red and green, cavies black and green. etc.... for all 12 check it out i didnt really notice till the guard ( who is outstanding to say the least) walked past the audience after the show, when they have them on! I think its hysterical!! I wonder if the corps is planning on having some fun with this come dci finals..... you know,12 horse race...12 corps in finals, the triple crown, belmont, preakness, kentucky derby= quarters, semis, finals....oh the dark horse. i cant wait to see what new things crown has in store for this show! I love all the details!!!

on top of that, the guard has been in first place for around 2 weeks now, and the corps has been competative in visual across the board, beating the cadets at one show, also doing extremely well in g.e.,so it seems like the elements are there. Also its not about beating the big boys early in the season, its about passing them near the end, to me bluecoats winning that show doesnt bode well for them near the end of the season.

so what happened with the hot chops award,? does anyone one know who won, and what the hot chops was for in beverly? the pit? anyone out there know?

i think any single one of them easily, right now crown is a point and a half from first, its a long season and anything can happen, bluecoats proved that the other night! asof right now i would say phantom and scv. but who knows ? thats what the poll is for!

take your pick! right now crown is ahead of regiment ,and scv, will that hold thru allentown,?dci? it seems like the juging community likes them alot!
