  1. Sanctus - Phantom 2003. Bottle Dance - SCV 1992 (Only time I've seen it live) Oh Darlin' - Kiwanis Kavaliers 2003(?) When a Man Loves a Woman - BD 1992 (I need to expand my listening horizons) Ghost Train - Spirit 2000
  2. Any chance that was the Canadian Open in Kitchner/Waterloo? I remember winning that show, much to the dismay of the Kiwanis Kavaliers' faithful. Instead of a standard victory concert, our... um... inebriated staff decided that we should play our parade tune twenty or thirty times. America the Beautiful.
  3. Except for me as a fan, what I loved about the 2001 show was all of the subtle references to great Spirit shows from the past. Aint' Necessarily So, Summertime, Rhapsody in Blue. And countless other "traditional" Spirit tunes hidden in there. I love that show.
  4. KK just canceled their January camp. Details are reported to follow soon
  5. Been wrong before, will be wrong again: it was during Star Wars in '78. Though when NA did our Kansas show in '93, we were told by our staff that flash bulbs and the like were illegal. (They wanted them in, but checked the book first.)
  6. Well, since the administration there has allowed a member posting about "there are rumors that we're folding" sit UNANSWERED on their own message board for almost a month, I'm willing to put myself out on a limb and say it. They're not. They may not owe a thing to DCP about internal workings, but if they won't even answer a member...
  7. May is probably too late, but I totally get your drift and think it's a good idea.
  8. It's "hilarious" because I just finished reading a thread about how good Class A is/was for DCA, and then I follow it up with this thread. C'mon, DCA.
  9. I'll ask; Hey Kiwanis people. 1) Are you fielding a corps this summer? if yes, 2) Will it be going to the 2007 DCI Finals? if yes, 3) Will it be as a Division I corps? Answering these questions (either here, via DCI.org or on your own web site), instead of getting angry at them when they pop up, will be the best way to make them stop. Here, let me non-answer myself for you. IT'S NONE OF MY #### BUSINESS!!! I ALREADY ANSWERED THIS QUESTION!!! STOP HATING ON MY CORPS!!! THIS STUFF TAKES TIME, IT'S ONLY A WEEK BEFORE FEBRUARY!!!
  10. That was a stupid-sick situation. I was marching Northern Aurora that summer, and we were told that when we did our quarterfinals performance in the afternoon, the on-field temperature was 130 degrees. It was 90+ all week in Jackson, MS, humid as all get out,w with zero chance of rain. Unless you were the Madison Scouts at finals. It rained -no, PORED- only for intermission and their entire show. Then stopped. Amazing. Like was said above, if anything, I think it helped their performance. They took it as an affront.
  11. Camp date change. Looks like the first night has been lopped off the schedule.
  12. 2005 also had amped narration. You're totally free to like who and what you want to like. All I'm saying is that if you're going to start a thread about something like being Anti-Amping, having each one of your posts look like a The Cadets brochure seems at odds with your messages.
  13. I for one can't wait. Missing last season was a nightmare. No marching for me this weekend, (What, with the ice hockey, the groin pull, and the pain. Gloiben.) But I sure can't wait to play something loud. Hey, and I didn't use the hippie kid's login this time. He's gonna be mad that he has to log in again. RsD
  14. Sorry for comming way to close to an attack, but it really strikes me as odd that you are totaly against amped vocals yet have a The Cadets logo as your avatar, openly root for The Cadets in your signature and have a picture of them. Remember the answer to one of your original questions; Who's 'fault' are these amped vocals? Hopkins' proposal. It's kinda like complaining about how the Yankees buy all of these baseball championships while wearing their cap.
  15. Does that mean that we have to keep the Mennonite unis? That drive back to Detroit took FOREVER by buggy.
