My family and I marched in Reading for many yrs. George was an inspirational person, he was a good man. I have many memories of when we marched with George, but the memory I will never forget was when my dad passed away, George called everybody in my family and wept with us. My dad's name was George, he died from a heart attack, He was 57. Today I weep yet again for a man named George R.I.P. my deepest sympathy to his family. Donna S.

I was just wondering how they will handle the 3 hour time difference for quarter finals. Does anyone know? With the time difference the theatre will have to be open very late. Or will they maybe show quarters on another day? Just wondering

ANYBODY that boos a corps is just an ignorant A hole in my opinion. When I am at a show, and a corps comes on the field that I don't want to see I go for a walk!!!!! Or if I stay in my seat I watch them and then continue on with the show. I was at camp, and had the pleasure of hearing this production in full Sat. night. Horns drums and pit. I was blown away. Yes they were missing 20 some horns because of bowl games. I can't wait to hear this number again. All I know is when they were done the staff was all smiles. Also I would like to say the Tom Aungst has outdone himself this yr!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kudos to the entire staff LOVE THOSE CADETS :worthy Donna S.

I'm sorry if you felt I was attacking you, as I stated I was speaking in general terms. I understand if you feel you are being labled unfairley you stand up for yourself, I do the same thing. Believe me being associated with the Cadets I know all about being labled!!!!!!!! Iam very sensitive when it comes to the Cadets, because of my long time connection with them. This summer was very tough. The kids in the corps took it better than I did, that's not to say what was said about them, and to them did not hurt.They are only human. As I said I was not calling you rude (I don't even know you), I was talking about the reaction to the corps by people in general! I don't blame the design flaw of the show on Marc, it was a group effort. Every now and again a corps comes up with a show that does not work, it happens. Your #### right I'm a bit touchy, You try being a Cadets fan/volunteer and watch these kids be subject to the hatred, and the ridicule that was thrown at them this summer. THEY DON'T DESERVE IT. If you don't like the show they did, that's fine, but the way this corps was treated is just wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not talking about their placement, I'm talking about how they were treated by people. Many of these kids are Cadets because it's a dream of theirs to be in this corps. They are Cadets because they want to be. These kids in the Cadets take life long lessons with them, I'm afraid that this yr. One of the lessons they learned is how RUDE AND IGNORANT PEOPLE CAN BE!!!!!!!!! Donna

Rest easy, the Cadets are fine. The kids are excited for the next three nights, and they are ready to go. They love the show and they love what they do. The staff knows how to deal with the corps to keep them motivated. That's not to say they have not been a little dissapointed this summer, they have, but they also have enjoyed what they are doing. They have not enjoyed being harrased by some crowds, they have not enjoyed going out and busting their butts, and the crowd does not even have the decency to show appreciation for a presentation. The kids have been dissapointed to hear some fans have been harassed at shows, only for wearing Cadet shirts!!!!!! I have seen some people on this site just crucify this corps. I have never seen anything like it before. I don't even want to hear that you hate the product, but not the kids, THEY ARE THE PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway I know that they are and will be fine. The kids love who and what they are, they love George, and they love what they do. THEY ARE CADETS AFTER ALL. Love those Cadets Donna

I absolutley love this show. I think it has overtaken last yrs. show as my favorite. Everytime I see it I see something new. I love all of the color,the sound and the movement. The talent leval of the kids is amazing. Out of all of the other corps I have seen, this show is new, refreshing, and exciting. I am hoping for #10 LOVE THOSE CADETS DONNA

I read some of these post in total amazement, how some of you out there can sit at your computer and leval such hatred at the Cadets. I just don't understand how some of you can be so vicious. Like some post have stated, If you don't like the Cadets show, that's fine, but to go to a show and boo them (or any corps) is dispicable. Any of you that think your actions, or your hateful words don't have an a affect on them you are wrong. I think that these kids at the ripe old age of 18,19,20 have more sense than some of the folks that criticize them so harshly. I do know that George does encourage the kids to not go out on these sites, and I can see why. He needs to keep these kids focused. You know any of you that think that your hateful words do not affect them, I would ask that for once you put yourself in their shoes. I am fortunate to spend a good bit of time with these kids, and I so admire their work ethic, and their heart and character. That's not to take anything away from any other corps, I know all of these corps have good kids, but I spend my time with Cadets. Do any of you out there know their is a young man in the corps with a devastating illness, yet he is out there doing what he LOVES. At Gettysburg there was a horn player that was so sick, I went out and got medicine for him. He did not sit out, He worked all day (and it was very hot) with the rest of the corps. In the after noon they were moving the scafolding the staff uses and it fell over striking one ofthe horn players, after a hospital visit and 5 stitches later he said he was going to go on and perform that night. Of coarse the corps felt it was best he did not go on, so he sat out. Again their heart and character. I'm sure you can find stories like this from every corps, and that's my point. THESE KIDS DO WHAT THEY LOVE. It breaks my heart to read the venom thrown at the Cadets. I do feel some people have comlpetely gone over the edge with their hatred. IT'S JUST DRUM CORPS. I wish that those of you that choose to go to a show and make an ### out of yourself by booing ANYBODY would do yourself a favor and make time to go to a show anywhere and go spend the day with a corps (anyone). Try to take a little time to talk to a member. If you do this you might just have a different perspective. And you might just relax a little and enjoy going to a show. I know I do!!!!!!!!!!!! Matt I would not flatter yourself, most of these people that have said "GREAT REVIEW" are Cadets haters. I can gauarantee you had you not bashed them,and given them a fair and unbiased review, your review would have gone UNOTICED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have seen this show numerous times, I don't need your so called review. I know how cool this show is. They are the only corps I have seen this yr. that does something different.

Hello all! I have some thing I would like to say. First THANK YOU MARSHA- i really enjoyed reading your post. I have seen the Cadets numerous times this yr. and I missed some of the things you saw. Their show has so much going on, it does take more than one viewing to see it all. AGAIN THANK YOU :) ^OO^ Next I would like to respond to Skyryder and your comment about the original post being put up by the Cadets, and deceptive! I hate Cadets, I have not seen it yet, but I know I hate it. My vote would go to Cadets, they always, always show class, no matter where they are, (on or off the field), no matter who they are around. They know how to conduct themselves, because they are THE CADETS!!!!!!!! My vote would not go to Phantom, after the classless stunt they pulled in Boston at retreat. Cadets would never do something like that!!!!!!!!! I have always liked Phantom, but I have to say I lost a great deal of respect for the corps, as well as their staff for their tasteless display. I was at Cadets camp this past wekend, no weakness's in this corps!!!!!!!!!!!! It was pretty amazing to hear the horn line and drum sound this good in January. Looks like they are picking up right where they left off last yr. I can't wait to hear and see the rest of the show. It sounds like some pretty interesting things are happining in this show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE THOSE CADETS Donna
