most of these kids at madison are young and are probably just excited to be there.. yeah, they are scoring in the 60's still, but they're young and they have nowhere to go but up from here. I can see them making atleast semi's, maybe not finals. it is still early, and i was apart of a corps that changed over half their show at midseason and came roaring into 2nd place. As long as the staff does what they need to do, and the kids keepin working their butts off, good fortune will come.

Madison's avg age this year is 16.. WOW.

some of you guys act like this was the most important show of the year. lighten up. the real show is in pasadena. and what really gets me is that after ONE show, you totally discredit the judging community. Even discredit one judge that wasn't even there. can we please control ourselves after a cavaliers loss? Try to think of it as a virtual tie, because that is exactly what it is. one more thing, everyone else has said it, and i will too. The top 7 are incredible this year. Good, for US! enjoy it.

Who's gonna take it? BD, Cavaliers, or the Coats? It's a toss up for me. It's been too close to call all season. but, I think BD and Cavaliers will be close to each other and coats will be just under them. what is your prediction?

i miss those uniforms for Madison in your signature.... much better... they would definitely add 4-5 points to their current score if they brought those back....

BD's opening pit sequence... downright creepy. all they need now is faint voices like you hear in those ghost story tv shows HAHA. I MEAN.. NO VOICES AND NARRATION!! ARGGH!!!

HAHA. so i could care less what the title and concept of the show is at this point cause i like this show just by all the "ideas" from other shows throughout BD's history. now.. on the actual show idea.. I hear the evil music, I hear the Ascension part, and i love it! but I not quite getting the Heaven part. hahah "you need JESUS!!" anyways, hopefully that will be get tweaked and this show will become my all time favorite.

There is a euphonium player who auditioned and made the US Army Field Band in DC last Fall. He marched JSU, probably could have marched anywhere if he wanted. He chose JSU. This proposal is ridiculous and not a good one, as there are already talented musicians choosing to march the "lower tier" corps. However, It would improve the top corps with the whole dealing with drum corps rookies, and not having to teach them about 'what goes on' and 'how to go about things in drum corps' and having the rookie season under your belt. But, with the bond you grow with your corps, what if these rookie marchers decided not to march anywhere else, and just stay put... That means, no new marchers for the top 6 corps, AND possibility of not having enough people to fill the 135 limit, AND ultimately the top 6 corps fold because of lack of membership. HAHAHAH!!! YEAH RIGHT!!! It's really not a good idea whatever way you look at it.

Of course there is some 82 in there, but I do hear musical concepts from other years such as 94, 95, 96, 03, and 06. 94 - sounds like monkey drumming. are they still doing that at some point in the show? 95 - sounds like chords from the Dead Queen 96 - sounds like the low brass melody and full corps build into the trumpet soli before the big push at the end of the 96 show. 2003 - space chords..., this one is sortof for ALL BD brass alumni. 2006 - in the 07 ballad i can here two chords that might have been used in their ending. picky... but i think its there. ha! and NO, this isn't supposed to be used as material for you guys that think BD uses the same melodic/rhythmic stuff every year!!! haha. anyways. my thoughts. Does anyone else hear this. BTW, i LOVE the pit intro into the show. Very dark feeling, kinda creepy if you ask me. Top 2 show from what I've heard and seen.

Trust me, the Pavilion recording is crap compared to the APD!!! It wasn't finished, and it lacked members. Plus some rewrites. Look for major rewrites of the 2nd half of the show. ;-) that's all you get for now.
