Sorry, you probably had to type in the locations. Forgot that the two locations I sent, are not retained for long with mapquest. I'll thank you only for the "thanks".

Sorry SkyWhopper, but "supports my reasons for not being part of facebook, twitter, etc." means only one thing to moir. I apologize to all for continuing this typed non-topic discourse.

You're embarrassing yourself now by admitting you didn't read the whole post.

Not a hater FH. Just found this topic foolish and supports my reasons for not being part of facebook, twitter, etc. Love the great discussions, pro and con, about all aspects of the current/future state of Drum & Bugle Corps, but some threads seem so useless.
-
Hope so since the last two results were heading the other way from their first 89.

To Grandpa especially, but to everyone who replied to his topic, thanks for some great input. If I had the musical talent of many of these corps members, I think I'd be pisssed to be covered up by electronics. Let the music majors play au natural! Hopefully Michael C. and his group who are tasked to get Drum & Bugle Corps more fan friendly will use topics, being discussed here and in previous posts, as feed back shared by a high majority of fans. If the overall goal is to make a slow, pain free transition into becoming more band like (BOA?), have the testicular fortitude to let us know, instead of using smoke screen reasons for changes over the years.

Only one group of people I believe this should be the case, but the're not scheduled to return to DC until September. Damnn founding fathers!
-
Other than a corps or three switching positions, you are probably correct. Wonder how much has changed sinc mid-July?

Second result in a row where BAC has gone backwards. Hope it's do to new changes. Thanks to those who sent contest updates.

Ivins, Utah (Retirement home beginning next month) http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=zmw:84738.1.99999 8% humidity 28% Dew point I'll take "oven dry" over "dish rag" any day. Last training day in July before leaving for a track meet, it was 106. Had no issues. But, I digress. There's a chance most of the bad stuff in Allentown has already gone over.

Excitement and surprises in PA

From your thoughts to the judges heads! Believe BAC is on right after SCV so the motivation will be there. -

BAC needs to clean their marching some, get more in synch with body/arm movements, and also improve each night in Indy. Going back several years, they have had more drops in scores after quarters than increases. Reaching 91/92 is possible with improved concentration of their intervals and covering. They easily have the talent and staff to do it. -

Thought SCV were rough the first 1/4 tonight. After BAC looked real good, I thought they might pass SCV. Not quite there yet. Maybe Saturday when they go on after SCV. Crowd almost pulled Cadets pass BD. Was great to see four top eight corps at the East Coast Classic. -
I try to listen to the weekly recording from this site, http://85.17.117.191/~worldofbra/wobradio/index2.php?episode_id=220711&episode_title=World of Brass radio: 22-07-11&file=wobradio_22-07-11 but miss some. Tonight I played the 22-07-11 recording. Always great stuff. The last piece of music blew my mind. I knew The Black Dyke Band is good, but yikes! So, if you can't listen to the whole recording of 63+ (other bands are included) minutes while you're on your computer and if you're the type who needs a visual, you're in luck. Enjoy.

Drum Corps Show "FirstBeat" in Summerville, SC
Ghost replied to Liahona's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
I imagine he will be. Since Big Bird is back in UT, on a charger, he'll be represented on Thursday afternoon, beginning with an appearence under the VIP Big Top! -
After the first three or four years of the Plymouth, MA alumni corps concerts, I stopped attending because they were primarily the same as previous years. Some new music, but you're limited inside with a stand still setting. My first thought after watching most of the video was other than family and friends, how many of the crowd was not family or friends? Plus, a very older looking crowd. For the same reason I usually only watch the highest level of professional sports, World Class is the only level of Drum & Bugle Corps which interests me. I wish these smaller organizations well, but since the whole activity has an extremely small following, I'll continue to be more interested with the major league teams.

You're probably right. In order for the eventual finals winner to end up in the 97-98 range, someone has to begin getting 90's.
