Only holds 30,000? Maybe its just me but the pic makes the stadium look a lot bigger than 30,000. -
Hopefully this question makes sense..lol I've never been to a true II/III show so hopefully some of you all can help me with this. I know that II/IIIs are on the same sheet so that a 85 for a div 2 is the same score as a 85 for a div 3. But at the II/III shows, are corps in different divisions actually competing against each other a la grand finals, or are the judges only basing the spread/score on other corps in the same division? Thanks!!

What's your favorite Drum Corps food?
Latrobe's Finest replied to gray487's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
Yumm grilled cheese is good. Mine would be: Breakfast- the famous Pioneer pancakes with bacon and eggs (only got that on special days..lol). Lunch- perfect lunch is buttered/steamed noodles between hard rehearsal blocks. Tons of carbs to keep you going the rest of the day. Dinner- PB&J--gotta have it at least once a day!! :P -
The new unis look HOT, and its a fun show to watch and listen to!!

hey its the Colts bugle and drum corps... band
Latrobe's Finest replied to dcf06's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
Thats like last year we did an exhibition at this summer marching band circuit's championships in Wisconsin. The PA announcer read our little intro and must have said "drum corps" and "the corps" a zillion times, but then at the very end said "DM Alex Wilga, is your BAND ready?" But back to the original post, how does a TV station make mistakes that obvious? Not trying to be rude, but wow, not even close! Did they not notice the "Colts Drum and Bugle Corps" print on the buses/trucks? -
Last year the Cavies dominated I&E, their members won a bunch of the competitions. I know some top corps don't let their members participate while others encourage it, but I can't remember who's in which group. Welcome to the club btw..lol

Us (Pio) and Esperanza got penalties last year at Quarterfinals. We were first on so I'm assuming we weren't late to the gate since we were chilling right there, but no one ever said what it was for. We lost 1.00 and Esperanza lost .5

..Looking for a job. Also, finding random pictures of places I slept last summer. Here's one from Brillion, Wisconsin.

For anyone at the show: what was attendance like? I've never thought of Arkansas as a drum corps state (I've never been there so I don't know, I'm just saying). Was there a particular corps that the fans jumped on board with? -

They have a real nice, big sound; clean guard and solid drum line...and lots of RED. -
Why I love drum corps.

We love it because there are few things better than getting your face blown off by a drum corps hornline!!! B) -
Pioneer scores
Latrobe's Finest replied to shostahoosier's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
True, but why does this always happen? Someone opens a thread about Pioneer and it turns into bashing, yes we finished last, but we still woke up every morning and worked our tails off just like every other drum and bugle corps in the nation. Let's get back to the original idea of the thread: The OP had a legit question which could spark some intelligent discussion (which I believe is the whole point of DCP). So, has anyone here seen the Irish more than once who can comment on their performance and scores? I saw them one time in Warrenton and they had an off-show and got the score they deserved relative to the rest of the show. So, anyone out there who has seen them multiple times, what say you? -
The Crossmen + capes= I LOVE the show this year. When did they add the capes this year? They didn't have them at Westminster?
