  1. Thank you all for a truly memorable summer. Take pride in your accomplishments ... joy in the family and friends you made ... and remember the high spots. Each and every one of you have brought music, spectacle and electricity of performance to people throughout these United States. A simple "thanks" isn't enough ... atta boy/girl ... Godspeed and God Bless.
  2. Thank you. Really great review ... felt like we were there.
  3. I'm not going to use up bandwidth to quote the original post ... but I'd like to ask ... And your point is ... ?
  4. Thank you Michael. Your post means a lot to help "set things straight".
  5. I'd say it was musical genius. By far, the most underrated show of its time. And proof that if you're rich and beautiful, people won't like you. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks Lisa ... our guys were booooeeeddd so much that it made them want to excel, just to show people that they could EARN the titles and the work ethic was incredible. Yep, I'm a Star Mom ... proud of it ... and even though none of our guys marched in '93, it still blows me away.
  6. PLEASE bring back retreat at all shows. Our fans we so disappointed.
  7. Didn't this happen to Phantom last year (memory fades a little each day ...)
  8. Great thread ... I agree that scores aren't the be-all and end-all. But, being scored by judges does give the staff and corps members the chance to go through the effort to improve. From the smallest to the largest corps, these folks who go through all the blood, sweat and tears to perform to their highest ability, have my undying respect and gratitude. Now ... where's the geezer bus? Grandma (Ma) Tye
  9. I'm pleased to hear people are enjoying the show. ^OO^ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> We saw them last Tuesday in Chippewa Falls. The have a truly beautiful show.
  10. We were leaving the stands after the Stillwater (MN) show a couple of weeks ago. We were wearing our Star of Indiana hats. The young man walking beside us noticed the hats and told us he marched in Star with one of our sons. Small world ...
  11. A word to the wise ... No matter what you do ... you are going to tick (read that any way you want) somebody off. This bot was a truly unfortunate incident ... watch your back folks ... your identity may be next ... ... but, DCI did what they had to do ... and no amount of kvetching from any of us is going to change it .... so ... please ... just deal with it!
  12. Wheels heck! Wheels just make you go round and round. Let's rock!
  13. Thanks for the scores. We enjoyed a great evening of drum corps. Wow!
  14. Yes, you do. And ... then ... and then ... and then ...
  15. I agree Mike. Tom Blair has brought the activity to the masses ... and beautifully. Steve Vickers ... without question ... deserves to be in the HOF. But ... I also think you should be nominated. What you have brought to the activity is immeasurable. Thank you. M
  16. Lee and Renegades ... I really didn't want to open this thread ... enough griping already. But when I read your post, I was reminded that this drum corps family supports each other ... through thick and thin. Thank you. Classy!
  17. Thanks for a great review. I wish we could have seen Phantom this year ... the show sounds like a really stellar one for them ... Onward! To all of the corps in all divisions for 2005 ... keep on keepin' on ... great job gang ... Godspeed and God Bless. Ma
  18. Bill Cook ... think about it ... really think about it ... ... our family has had the honor of meeting many, many wonderful people through our years with drum corps ... from George Z to Michael C to ... dagnabbit ... so many, many caring, knowing and committed people in this thing we call Drum Corps ... but please ... Bill Cook Thank you! Marilyn
