  1. For sure, Blue Knights' show is simply gorgeous. Irving Fan of the Arts
  2. Wow! She's got a few years left, lucky us. I believe it was in Chambersburg where I sought her out to tell her just how much I enjoyed her solo. I started to give her a hug but then realized she was in unform and corps members are not allowed to do that. Just one of my many cherished memories from this summer being on tour. 3. The flugel horn soloist with the Boston Crusaders. Irving Fan of the Arts
  4. I absolutely agree with you on your point. Visually SCV is stunning compared to Crown (and that's not a dig at them) and I also have SCV in the medal hunt. I once said in an earlier post that SCV would be pushing someone off the podium. Hard to believe the 5th place corps could be either Bluecoats or Crown. We are certainly getting a bang for our buck this year. Irving Fan of the Arts
  5. Ok the elephant in the middle of the room is that Crown finished 5th in San Antonio. Will Cavaliers catch them too? Irving Fan of the Arts
  6. If you look again it is already there...not exactly like '87 but it is there. Irving Fan of the Arts
  7. Thanks for this image. I love it!! Irving Fan of the Arts
  8. An even better way to find out if he's lip syncing is to volunteer a week with the Cadets, while you're watching ensemble you'll get your answer for sure. He is not lip syncing. Jordan is a good kid, it is his voice. Irving Fan of the Arts
  9. Those are not my thoughts at all...not even close. Irving Fan of the Arts
  10. You speak at everyone like they're children. Not everyone here is twenty-something. Irving Fan of the Arts
  11. I see how you have 7,312 post. Irving Fan of the Arts
  12. I've already given those folks the opportunity to revise their predictions . They can't handle the Cadets still being on the podium. Let me get this out of the way right now....after Indy has come and gone I'm not the type of person who will come back and say, "I told you so." I will simply take my drum corps hat off and get ready for the color guard season. And the beat goes on..... Irving Fan of the Arts
  13. You needed week's more data to change your mind? Irving Fan of the Arts
  14. I wasn't exactly going out on a limb when I made that comment, "Cadets are going to be very good", attending their rehearsal at spring training. I use the crystal ball for other purposes. Tell me Geluf, you still think its a four corps race? Use your crystal ball on that. Irving Fan of the Arts
  15. I am knocking on wood!! Irving Fan of the Arts
  16. Don't tell anyone but I've had the priviledge of listening to some critique tapes of the Cadets and I can assure you the word "boring" was not heard on those tapes....any where. Instead of hating the show can't you simply say you don't like the show? It is still going to do very well come Indy. Irving Fan of the Arts
  17. I was saying it in May that the Cadets were going to be very good. Just look at the evidence; no major rewrites and they are still only a point down. I agree with you they will be top 2 but I'm not ready to go all out and say what I really want to say. Irving Fan of the Arts
  18. We have a party crasher now that four has turned into five. Irving Fan of the Arts
  19. As we head into the Texas portion of tour how many of you need to revise your predictions? Looks like SCV wants to be standing on that podium before the Atlanta regional. Irving Fan of the Arts
  20. The quads will be back in. I know one of them has a hip flexor injury which just needs to heal with rest and the other is new, I heard an ankle. They are doing the right thing letting them rest and heal. Irving Fan of the Arts
  21. I'm excited for SCV as well. I said they'd be pusing someone off the podium; so far they caught Bluecoats and now they have their eyes on Crown. I'm not so sure about your West coast 1 and 2 (any order). Irving Fan of the Arts
  22. Whether you like the stage or not like the stage, like the narrative or hate the narrative; those kids are performing the hell out of that show. I've always thought highly of the audience of this activity in figuring things out. These show concepts presented by some very good drum corps are not hard to grasp if you just sit there (objectively) and watch/listen. Why does that seem to get lost on DCP? And if you haven't noticed BD and Cadets are the front runners and have been since they came out the gate. I'm still sticking with this is a two pony race, is your pony in the race? Mine is. Irving Fan of the Arts
  23. I just don't see it. Irving Fan of the Arts
  24. Good Lord.....you took the words right out of my mouth. It would not have made any sense for me to comment on anything. All I said was, "thank you for your comments." Irving Fan of the Arts
  25. I'm probably one of the most impatient Cadet fans there is when I know there is stuff coming the pike and I want them to insert it now. It seems to me that the Cadet's strategy is working quite nicely on when to add/insert changes. Everyone in the world knows the Cadets are planning a uniform change for the guard; it will be no surprise but yet it will be a surprise when the Cadets actually do use the guard uniform changes and the cumberbund changes. I'm not sure I agree with you on visual demand....the Cadets seem to be playing their cards just right. Irving Fan of the Arts
