The only problem is that I have to wait until July 22nd to see them! I just can't wait! I'm taking my Mother to the San Antonio show - We'll both be wearing their awesome tour t-shirts! Go Scouts!

I am currently listening to the Madison APD from 6/29 and I'm not hearing a 19th place corps here. They sound really good! I have not seen them yet unfortunately. I see they went up over a point last night. I hope they just keep getting better. Go Scouts!

Like I said - As much as I hate hearing any narration - I won't boo the Cadets, Or anyone else no matter what! Those kids work their ##### off and they should be praised!

As much as I have bashed this years Cadet program - I will never Boo any corps. No way - Never. I have unpopular opinions - obviously - but I would never stoop so low as to boo any corps performance.

You are so correct about San Antonio! What a great place to watch Drum Corps! It's so big that you almost forget you are inside! I went to the Houston show in 2005 - at Rice Stadium. Rain - and more Rain! The show went on - really late. I got to see my beloved Madison Scouts (plus one girl) win the show - and I could not believe they actually beat the Vanguard that night. Too bad you could smell the mens room from the stands - yuck! Fortunately they have switched to a better venue now. I really hope the show goes on withought rain! Just need mosquito repellent!

Might be a stupid post but I just decided to go to the Houston show as well as the San Antonio show - just need my fix of Drum Corps this year. We have had so much rain here that there is a real chance of the show not going on - I know it's a couple of weeks away but I'd like to know what happens if a show rains out? Anyone? And - Go Scouts!

Neither do I. I know the Cadet's are full of real talent. They have been for years. My problem with that corps has never been with the performers. They do what Hoppy wants! - I was really hoping for a balls-out drumcorps show without gimmics - (narration). It just seems to me that if you take the narration out of this year's show it leaves a lot of empty silence that should be filled with drums and horns. Since I will always dismiss narration as crapola that leaves lots of holes in the show - For me. I also am not impressed with the drill. That is my opinion - not likely to change. I know it pisses off the Cadets "Borgs" but - so be it. None of their long-winded, artsy-fartsy explanations, or bashing, or whining will change my opinion. I will never like narration in drum corps. I don't even like it in Marching bands. Hell, I was angry as could be when they did a little narration during a homecoming half time show when I was in my college snareline. I was 18 then - I'm 42 now. Is that likely to change? - not really. But the Borgs will still try - I don't know why - I'm not worth the time they spend pounding their keyboards but they still do! That's the part I enjoy! Getting the little girls' panties in a ruffle over and over. And Go Scouts!

You got that right! Crown's drumline is worlds ahead of last year! Good for them - love to see them in the top 6 this year!

I can't wait to see them in San Antonio. Heard them rehearse during a winter camp and have been chomping at the bit to see them since!

OK Cadets clones - I have only seen their webcast from Annapolis. I don't see them live until the San Antonio show. Doesn't matter because I am a closed-minded old fart who can't stand narration of any kind. I will say I think they have a smokin drum line this year - when you can hear them clearly. I may actually open my mind enough not to go get a hot dog during the Cadet's performance this year - just to see how much talking has been eliminated. No guarantees though. B) Boy you girls get your panties all in a ruffle when someone doesn't jump on the Cadets bandwagon and call them great...... It's actually really fun waiting for your reactions!

Well here's your answer then. In my opinion the drill is some of the easier drill out there this year. They are obviously doing it well because they are scoring well. As for their playing, they are doing that well also - thus the high scores. I just don't feel that the book is as dificult as some of the other leading corps. That's your explanation.

I don't have much of a posting history. It's no secret that I am no Cadets fan - never have been but I used to have respect for them. They always put a competitive, flashy show out there for the fans up until 2005 where they starting being a high school marching band. I don't like what they have done at all the last few years - and I was hoping they would go back to being an actual drum corps this year. When they showed the old school uniforms I was hopeful. This show is just not entertaining at all to me. It would be better with no narration at all. That is my opinion, It's not likely to change, and I'm entitled to it. If others don't like it, they just have to deal with it any way they see fit. It really doesn't matter to me how they deal with it. And it's HE....
