  1. Hey Jeffrey - Try searching for him on Facebook under "Brad Kerr Green". That should work. :)
  2. Well this staff has a pretty good track record of successfully getting standing ovations these past three years. I am sure people will be throwing babies for this show!
  3. I need to correct you on your interpretation of that quote. If you go back and watch the video, it is clear that what they were discussing in that men's room, is that the all of the performing Corps were the act - not the VFW/AL , who were running the shows. What they were frustrated with - as spoken of by Don Warren - was how the VFW/Al were taking the lion's share of the money from shows and paying out very little to the performing Corps. This situation is very different. These elitists (G7) are now smuggly claiming that they, and they alone are the act, and deserve the lion's share of the money and power.
  4. Getting excited for the show. Saw on Facebook where they will be working on Night on Bald Mountain this weekend at camp. Hope the weather doesn't put a damper on anything!
  5. We probably will never see the show that I've always wanted to see: "Trash Talk in the 90s" - a musical tribute to: Jerry Springer Rikki Lake Geraldo Rivera Gaberilla Cartieres Jenny Jones Richard Bey Maury Povich Leeza The show would be comprised of the theme songs of each show and visually showcase all the famous scenes of violence and drama that took place on each show Also, we probably won't see a show entirely based on "Gangnam Style" by Psy!
  6. I heard that all Corps had record turnouts and all will be vastly improved this year! Meanwhile, and more importantly, I went skiing!
  7. I'm surprised nobody has done that yet. I thought BD was going to do it back in 1994, but someone lied to me.
  8. I would prefer 2 or 3 fully developed pieces rather than a bunch of snippets. In fact, sometime in the future, I'd love to see the Scouts tackle one piece of music. Like Cadets in 87 doing Appalacian Spring.
  9. It's hard to find online, but I've seen a Semi-Finals high cam version. I have a friend who may still have it. Let me look into it.
  10. I predict someone in the top 12 will play the jazz version of Mary Poppins. (At least I hope).
  11. And yet you posted this in the middle of the day! Freakin' Canuck!
  12. Yep. It cushions the blow of the end of each season....as well as the start of the NHL season a little further into fall (Go Avs!). But, those can't compare to Drum Corps for me!
  13. I figure each Corps should keep doing what they're doing. This year had great variety in entertainment and I enjoyed pretty much every show I got to see!
  14. You've got WAY too much time on your hands. Don't quit your day job...oh, I forgot, you don't have one!
  15. Who's operating with no respect? Was there some type of incedent involving these Corps? I've seen nothing but class and respect from both organizations!
  16. ....I attended the Big Loud and Live event on Thursday night. It was an o.k. show and everything, but the girl who was in charge of ticket ripping on the way in was rude and was texting while we were going in. I think her name was Amy. Could one of you guys talk to her?
  17. It seems like each year since James Mason and Company came on staff, the show announcements have garnered mixed feelings about what the show would be like. But each year, the shows have delivered big time! I'm absolutely sure the 75th anniversary show will do the same!
  18. Wow! I think this is the earliest a Corps has announced its show for the following season. I'm very intrigued and excited about this show. Part of the title seems odd to me though "75 years of survival". I wonder if that will play into the theme somehow.
  19. I predict I will now focus my energy on other awesome things: 1) NFL season coming up (GO PACK!!!) 2) My continued weight loss (25 more pounds to go to reach 185 pounds) 3) The awesome ski season ahead (will be buying the Epic Pass!)
  20. Well they sure got close to it...only around a point. And they really stepped it up and put on cleaner and more powerful performances on Friday and Saturday nights! But I gotta say...in this day and age when competition is so incredibly fierce, moving up even one placement from the year before is a major accomplishment for any Corps! Congratulations Scouts on an epic year, both in terms of improved performance level and sheer entertainment!!!
  21. Welll Jerry - Let's hope they leave it all on the field at Finals and jump up a spot or two!
  22. Way to go Scouts!!! Cleaner than last night from watching the high cam...keep it up! Was hoping to see something tonight that a certain person told me might be in the show, but alas, seems like they decided it would be too hard to pull off...maybe it will go in tomorrow night. Oh well, even without it, AWESOME SHOW!!!
  23. Dang, wish I could be there live! Hoping there will be an added surprise in the show tonight...we'll see. Go Scouts!!!
