Nice Job! I do find the Most Improved part to be interesting. Blue Coats is definitely distancing themselves from the rest of the pack. Mandarins is showing a steady increase show to show and is outpacing the others in their pack.

I concur that this doesn't vindicate him at all. He lacked common sense on this one.

Anyone at the show tonight to give some reviews on the corps performing?

The number of corps for Finals is set-up for a reason. Finals should be truly the elite corps. Competition is fierce all over, which is absolutely wonderful. Glad that we fans get to enjoy the higher quality shows all around.

It's exciting with corps 8-12 within a point of each other. I don't think it's set in stone, but awesomely fun to speculate. It used to be if you had history of being in Top 12, you stayed there. I don't think that is the case anymore with so many talented corps out there. When everyone is hungry, the fans win as we'll see higher quality shows all around.

I heard the round stage is heavy so it makes complete sense to not use it on natural turf. The uneven ground could cause havoc. I am sad that the Rose Bowl is natural turf. You'd think that they would've upgraded to artificial turf by now.

@ThePlanets - Please don't apologize for creating this thread. It's a fun thread and absolutely nothing wrong with it. If people get bent out of shape, then they do. You can't please them all.

Mandarins have really stepped up off the field too. They have diversified their programs by offering supplemental music and leadership education to the area youths throughout Northern CA. It's exciting to see those partnerships with schools grow and more kids getting the exposure to music education. Huge kudos to Jim Tabuchi for taking the Mandarins to the next level in making sure that the group is fiscally responsible in managing growth. It's no small feat when costs rise annually.

Can't wait to see the performances LIVE at the Rose Bowl, especially the Mandarins.

Wouldn't that be something if the Mandarins were able to beat the Cadets? Who knows what can happen? Mandarins definitely have a program that has a tremendous potential. They just need to keep adding, cleaning and enjoying the performance.

Let's just keep the drama on the field. Errors happen and it was corrected. Really not a big deal.

Crown was good, but I felt For Good was their weakest part of the show. Doesn't really do anything for me. The vocalist is just ok.
