  1. I honestly don't understand why you are freaking out about this. The scores here don't matter. I suspect several of the corps incorporated new elements into their shows that needed to be practiced. Tomorrow night is what matters. That being said, the Crossmen beating the Cadets in GE is noteworthy. GE was a full panel. Go Bones.
  2. I know the results of this show won’t matter in the grand scheme of things, but I am sure the Crossmen and Cadets are unveiling show changes that need a dry run before the competition on Saturday that determines placement in San Antonio.
  3. A pretty straightforward recap except for Spirit being ahead of Phantom in Guard and Brass.
  4. There actually were eight judges, but three of them were insects. No one can understand what their sheets say.
  5. The Crossmen also have a very good Color Guard. Their Visual Analysis scores are their best caption, but Color Guard is their second best.
  6. Or wait a few weeks for our copy of Drum Corps World to arrive in the mail.
  7. Part of me wants to applaud the people of Sioux City for resisting the power of social media. They probably still have dinner with their families and actually talk.
  8. Mandarins on the field. Response: <crickets> From what I hear about the bug situation, that was a literal description.
  9. I won’t be proven wrong until I see some periscopes or photos on Social media. 😉 Competing corps content doesn’t count.
  10. No. Actually I work in the private sector, where customers can choose to work with us or not—and reputation makes a difference.
  11. That’s a good question, but I keep thinking about it in the context of a sexual harassment complaint at work. They don’t announce ongoing investigations. They conduct the investigations under confidentiality rules to protect both parties. Everything is on a “need to know” basis. I am okay with that In this case, Which is appears to still be under investigation by the police, I am not sure what the general public had a right to know. (Just pondering)
  12. Some live reportage would be nice, but I hear they haven’t gotten the Internet yet.
  13. The Crossmen Alumni have been banding together to sponsor meals for the corps through the end of the season. Some have done so individually. Others have banded together based on the season(s) they marched. It's amazing to see. I am so impressed with this corps this year and proud of the Alumni.
  14. This is what I'm looking forward to. I'm glad this show isn't in the "predict the scores" competition. I honestly don't know what's going to happen...and that's exciting.
  15. Didn't Boston Crusaders also have to face early performing times the year they blasted from 12th Place to 6th? I do believe it is something corps have to deal with when they want to rise in the rankings. But, Cadets situation isn't as bad as it would be if they were, say, the 12th Place corps last year.
  16. The Bones Color Guard is doing so well. 3rd Place.
  17. Their utter talent aside, I didn't enjoy SCV's show as much as Bloo's.
  18. First time seeing the Bluecoats. Wow. I'm usually a "tired of the Beatles" person. I recognize their accomplishments, but I just have heard them too much. But, what Bloo has done with the music--and the way they presented it--made me appreciate the music again. The arrangements were amazing.
  19. No one gets to perform under the lights tonight, do they?
