  1. I'm drinkin' the KoolAid, and it's good... I can find little to nothing about Klesch's arrangements to complain about. Just give us more of the lusciousness, please!
  2. Geez, people. There's a World Class winter guard in the Atlanta. It falls under the umbrella of Carolina Crown (who will no doubt make some policy and govern). It's using the name of the former Crown-sponsored winter guard. It's a great opportunity for a marching member. What's with the forensic analysis????
  3. Crown. And it was only 80 horns (added 8 from previous years).
  4. From the last paragraph announcing Subel on their site: "He replaces Adam Sage, who held the position from 2005-08 and is now color guard caption supervisor for Carolina Crown. Phantom Regiment would like to thank Adam for his many contributions while on staff and wish him well in the future." MUCH classier than what was spewed out on this site when we first heard about Sage leaving.
  5. You can walk out the back door of this place and be at the stadium in minutes: www.staybridge.com It's on West Street.
  6. A certain unnamed double-murderer who once played football then did B-movies could've marched Phantom '08.
  7. Miss Teen South Carolina might possibly BE the daughter of two 70's Bridgemen members!!! There's definitely some pharmacological influence there!!!! Or, she could've marched Phantom's "On Air", since there is an abundance of such between her ears! (and before I get cracked on for living in SC, I just moved here 19 months ago, with the NC state line in my back yard!!) I straddle two states daily!
  8. I believe the only two corps that Crown has never bested are The Cavaliers and Blue Devils.
  9. When Madison's staff as a whole has been together for more than one season, and when Madison gets 600 auditionees, and when the guard doesn't need an alumni-sponsored scholarship program (to entice warm bodies), THEN I would consider the possibility of what you say.
  10. Crown! But I love Bluecoats and have been entertained by them immensely. I want to see both corps keep up the good work and keep up the pressure on the "usual suspects".
  11. Would you like that here on DCP, or shall we FedEx, Express Mail, or Text it to you??? No plans here to hype. I'll let events unfold as they may...
  12. 1st live show: Ft. Walton Beach, FL 7/5/80 Spirit of Atlanta (WOW!!!), Crossmen, North Star, Imperial Guard, Suncoast Sound, Florida Vanguard 1st DCI: 1980 Birmingham (spectator) 1st show marched: Lynn, MA 6/12/82 with the 27th Lancers
  13. I'm not a drummer, but I can't think of one reason why it wouldn't be a great learning experience for you! Do it!
  14. While I wouldn't put them out of the Top 8, I agree with you in that I did not enjoy their show at all. Running from position to position reminds me of a band scatter drill. I miss Downey's arrangements from earlier times.

  16. Good factual analysis. It's just way too early to predict champions for the future. I'll make my decision in late July.
  17. My general feeling about PR over my 29 years of fandom/participation was simply indifference. Never hated them, never loved them. This year's show.....wow! Just wow!! I'll certainly pay more attention in the future!
  18. He must not have been at the banquet the night before, when 32 age-outs received their "crowns".
  19. ...coaching 11- and 12-year-olds to Gymnastic Golds!!!!!
  20. Yes, we are clones of Star. Jango Fett helped make us. Didn't you see the fuschia slightly sticking out of the uniforms???? Oh, and please remind Bill Cook to add our names to the signature cards at the bank.
