I would have to say the top five shows of all time are (in no particular order)" 1983 Garfield Cadets 1986 Blue Devils 1987 Garfield Cadets 2002 Cavaliers 2008 Phantom Regiment But this list is so subjective and personal... no one is going to have the same list.

Like I said earlier... I have some friends who have been to every finals for the past 25 or so years. They sent me a text message after Regiment performed saying this was by far the best show in the history of DCI. Like Bawker, I think it will take some ti9me to put everything in perspective, but I think it is very safe to say It's a solid lock for all time top 5!

OK, here come the conspiracy theorists... Both drum judges marched/taught Regiment in the 90's. Someone on another thread is trying to stir the pot...

With no ESPN show to edit, I think you might get your wish. But its still a lengthy process. Probably early November.

Theater won't work becuase the theaters will never give up the space3 on a Friday night. That is there Money maker and it would be too much of a risk. As for webcast on Saturday, there is a bit of a debate there. The common theory is that DCI thinks it will lose gate revenue and DVD sales from broadcasting online. If you want to see the show. IMHO, I think that theory is very flawed. But ultimately that is up to the board of directors.

A huge congrats to BD on a tremedous season. I don't think I agree witht eh 5th in percussion, but when two judges give the same score, there must be some validity too it. I'm dizzy right now, this night has been too much. I want to see the video from BD and Regiment.

Double post, but it needs to be said again.... Just got a text from some people in the stands. They said in their 25 plus years of going to DCI Championships, they have NEVER heard an ovation like the one Regiment just got. It was at least a minute before the show ended and deafening. She said people were crying. In her words, "the best show in DCI history". Wow... I picked a hell of a year not to go.
