  1. GO FOR IT!!! Your still young at 40 man. You won't regret it if you try it.
  2. Please don't go their again,,, lol,,, but not really. Very touchy subject. And yes it was a VERY lengthy thread On a side note The Brantford Winter Guard (a division of St. John's Drum and Bugle Corps) will be competing in Regional A in the North East Color Guard Circuit for the 2010 season. Our girls range in age from 9-15 and are looking very VERY good! After the 2010 season we will be adding an indoor percussion section. Sorry for hijacking. Just wanted to share.
  3. I think anywhere a corps can save a few bucks these days is a good thing. Although I haven't seen Blue this year, I would have killed to where a light weight breathable comfy uniform in my marching days. Especially under Armour.
  4. G.H. is a man we all love to hate. But Yes, he did a lot for the Xmen and a lot for the activity...Some good some bad! However, I think most would agree that if you needed one person to run your corps G.H. would be the man. Congrats Hoppy.
  5. St. John's from Brantford Ontario Canada started as an all girls drum corps sponsored St. John's Catholic Collegiate and the Knights of Columbus. Let us get through our mini camp and I will send you the info.
  6. No disrspect but lets call a spade a spade here. Someone has to and should be fiscally responsible. 50k short is a substantial amount of money.
  7. Black Market Juggler Bayonne Bridgemen 1981
  8. it's obvious that the people who look after the finances for O.C. aren't in tune with finances. Sorry ,but to be out 50 grand half way through the season is not good money management / budgeting. All the best. I hope the ways and means committee and fundraisers can pull through for the kids.
  9. Doesn't work well at all. Dual purpose baseball / football stadiums are not fan friendly. Fans and judges are to far away from the action.
  10. I think they are just "eclectic" They just choose something that sounds good that they can easily get across to the fans and run with it.
  11. Looks like INT went over time in a big way. Penalties had to kill them no?
  12. Nice to see they have a few females on their line.
  13. I would imagine it would be to difficult to get all the U.S. members back for 1 performance from Dutch and Sudbury (Blue Saints) is a bout 6 hours from oshawa.
  14. Bottom line here sunshine is this. BD are currently ranked #1. By a bit of a margine I might add. The rest of the pack needs to catch up to them because they are playing their show "BETTER" and "CLEANER" than everyone else. All books in the top 5 in my opinion are written as equally challenging as the next guy. HOWEVER, some can play it others can't.
  15. He is probably on Corps rep looking for name of corps that he marched with and where they placed in the years he "states" he marched.
  16. Everyone thinks they can step into Devs line at some point in their life. You'll get over it.
  17. LMAO, they may be due to win a championship one day too. Will Crown catch up I love your reply!
  18. Then the corps who are playing challenging shows better clean it up and in a hurry. If they can't then they need to make their show less challenging NO. A clean easy show will be judged higher than a dirty challenging show every day of the week. I agree with one of the other posts. Maybe Blue Devils are making a challenging book look easy.
  19. LOL, Actually I am engaged to married in Jamaica on November 19th of this year to a 1989 Cadets soprano Alumn
