i would say drum corps is inspiring. it is incredible what they can do in such small amounts of time. since i am in marching band, drum corps helps me visualize what we should aspire to be (as in cleanliness of drill and music). best of all, it's so much fun to watch and listen to!

as a teenager, i understand both sides to the story. when i went to DCI san an, a small group of probably 10-12 high schoolers were noisy and talking during the early shows, but were silent when their favorite corps came on, which of course is very frustrating and inconsiderate. on the other side of things, some of the adults in front of me were rude too. after an upper corps, one of the staff members came up to visit a friend, i believe was the case. so the man came up and talked with his friend, and talked. then, Crown comes on, starts the preshow, and they continue talking. i roll my eyes, but it continues for quite a bit. considering crown is my favorite corps, i was extremely angry when the talking continued. my one chance to see crown this year live, and i get coffee talk infront of me sure i understand that friends have to catch up, but go do it by souvies. the talking ended but traces of whispering lingered, and the talk wasnt about drum corps. [rant off]

i agree about the music comment. it needs work, but i do believe it is a top 12 programthe design of this show is A LOT more captivating than last years. yes, it's not perfect, but it's early, though it needs cleaning cleaning cleaning. who knows, but hopefully we'll see them back in the top 12 come early august
