  1. the hats looked better this year with the solid red stripe around it
  2. *ding* *ding* *ding* we have a winner!!! the only problem i have with this years show imo, is it seems like theyre just begging for fans to jump on their wagon playing super friendly songs. but hey if its working for them, and they keep climbing the list, then have at it. the only other reason i think that people have just fallin in love with them is because they are new to the top and its nice to see someone other than bd and cavies always on top. BUT they do everything extremely well. from the drill to the guard and of course their incredible brass sound they are becoming that 'complete package' to win take it all. oh and get rid of the brown plumes please!
  3. no thats what they were discussing in the endzone, its gotta be.
  4. well i saw it mentioned here too, but one of my friends who aged out, said madisons bass line just stayed in the endzone, and some stadium person or someone walked up to them and then they left.
  5. would it be bad if a finalists director released a similar statement even if their corps has been accused of nothing?
  6. why did madisons bass line stay in the endzone on finals night?
  7. im with him im sure that there are more than one corps directors who acknowledges what happend was wrong, but really what can they do now that everyone went home for the summer? call them back and have them do pushups or run a lap? its gonna be a problem that has to be addressed at the beginning of next season edit: bluecoats are still the only ones to come out and publicly address what happend. would it be wise for any of the finalists corps directors to just put an apology out online whether or not their corps did participate in all these shenanigans?
  8. so quick break in the action... can we agree that ATB sounded terrible this year?
  9. awesome brass line, i didnt get this years show, good music just something about it didnt seem all that impressive but yes i think their hornline is incredible and wish more corps could sound like that. but i wouldnt say i love them...
  10. i thought it was strange music for a dci thank you video... i thought it sounded like some kind of memorial video for someone who died. i thought that was bluestars with the red plume
  11. yea havent they been in every finals, along with vanguard, yet never win. hell they probably havent moved much, if at all, since the beginning either. oh well ive always enjoyed them at every show ive seen them in
  12. bold:its not my fault some shows just make me want to fall asleep. but then again i might just be one of these "many fans"... italic:you used the wrong word, i believe the word you were looking for is death... and finally the last statement, im not really sure how to react to that. cavies with their lip bends? the matrix chords that crunched, yet crunched on purpopse? when bluecoats played the boxer right up front, that was pretty #### loud. but then again phantom was loud and colts were loud and troopers were loud and crown was loud, dont forget scouts, they were loud. and blue stars were loud and academy was loud... see where im going with this? and get with the times, its not the backstreet boys anymore, its jonas brothers!!!
  13. alright in madison in camp randall the show began very smoothly with the all ages corps, when who is next? revolution... they enter the field and begin to stand and wait and their directors/captionheads are still just standing on the field for what seemed to be a long time. finally people around me and myself included started taking notice the lack of drum line. after a few minutes the announcer, brandt crocker i think, came on and said "welcome to the field from san antonio texas... revolutions drumline!!!" well i guess that doesnt count as a fan exactly, but why cant the announcer also be a fan?
  14. from what ive seen, based on year: 89 96 03 07 08 i want to like 06, but ive seen it a limited amount of times, and usually just bits n pieces. i need to see more
  15. yea it got out of hand and started ripping on corps and other things. it went a direction i had not planned on it going. it went one way, when in reality it was supposed to be about things like cavaliers using ladders, or cadets having a living room set on their field. just things that made you go why? and then looking back saying that show would have been better had that not been on the field. sorry bout that for those who have been upset by this thread. NOT I HATE SO-N-SO CORPS SHOW IN 20XX...
  16. YES!!! haha they should have done it this year, and then next year do finis. but i would think festive overature would be a good opener to a commencement show.
  17. read what the corps requirements on judging you are, i know on scouts page, it says something like remember musical ability is only 1/5th of what your going to be judged on. theres also marching, being a team player, wanting to be the best, and probably how well you improved from one camp to another. im not sure if those are the rest for scouts, but they are probably also equally important to caption heads and directors for various corps
  18. "Phantom Regiment Winter Guard will not be taking the competition floor this winter. The Regiment winter guard was based out of Atlanta, Ga., and (was) under the direction of Adam Sage." i added whats bold from phantoms site, is the way it was said much better than "let go"? can people just "let go" of how he phrased it, accept that he got "let go"? boy am i being a #### disturber with this one... then answer my question again: who would want him? and where would he want to go?
  19. alright corps music in my head currently: phantom 07 and 03 scouts, well any scouts show ive ever seen, 08 opener and other parts throughout their show bluecoats boxer phantom opener, ballad and closer bd 92 man loves a woman(watched that today) glassmen 08 the peewee herman sounding song colts last 07 08 other band music, would be local high school show music
  20. who do you think would be interested in his talents? and then: where do you think he would take his talents?
  21. new phantom hoodie i saw, didnt buy. kind of expensive and when your in san antonio, well you figure it out... it was red had phantom regiment on the front with chevron going through the words. pretty cool hoodie. and theres a madison track jacket. also a bit much for me. and i much rather just get a corps jacket
  22. i saw cadets twice early season and hated the ending, then by the time finals came around, it was a respectable show. its as if they want all the crazy talk early then end up with a show thats something special
