  1. Well, Not really. The Bushwackers played a piece of Steve's titled "Where is Right?" That was originally written for a small orchestra and female vocalist, That was 1990. This piece was composed in the 80's and he had it in his files when he composed our 1990 show titled " A day in the life". If you get a chance, do a search of "Where is Right?", It is a beautiful piece of music from Steve.
  2. I went to High school with Steve and his brothers in Greenwich Ct during the 70's. A great family! Steve composed and arranged for me at the Bushwackers from 1990-1994 and we won 3 of our 6 championships using Steves scores, 2 of which were original compositions concept shows Steve created for the corps. His music is WONDERFUL. Steve still posts words of encouragement and stories on the Bushwacker alumni page and he truly enjoyed his 4 years working for and with the Bushwackers. So Crown wasn't the first corps to use his music
  3. The corps is very excited about this color guard team. Look for a much improved Bushwacker guard this season.
  4. Jeez John, the guys just reporting what he saw on TV, no harm in it. Everyone knows it's March in Holyoke and it's a long way till June, but we all know everyone tries to look good at the Holyoke parade also. Very happy Bush had a great showing today.

  6. The world lost a beautiful human being today. Rest in Peace Myron. Jay
  7. The Bushwackers and The Sunrisers would like to thank EVERYONE that supported the challenge these past 4 days. Though it was close with each corps taking turns leading the other, the Sunrisers came on strong at the end and were able to hold on to the lead and win the challenge by a mere $108.00 A total of over $20,000.00 was raised between the two corps, Making this challenge a big WIN for both organizations in the end. The Bushwackers congratulate the Sunrisers on their fine effort and wish them luck this weekend at the DCA Chamionships. And THANK YOU everyone that donated to the corps, it is greatly appreciated!

  16. Years ago it WAS an averaged score in the month of August but it was changed to the highest score of the season to be fair to the corps from out of region since they didn't always have a chance to compete and get a score in August due to their geography. Just a FYI
