  1. Ditto as well. Corps were great. Cadets are executing very well. Crowd loved Coats and literally gasped at crowns big brass sound. All the corps did fantastic. Great season so far.
  2. Good thing this stadium is made of concrete and steel, otherwise Crowns Horn line would have crumbled it to dust with their massive opening note. The Corps is amazing, in all aspects. The one issue right now is something the staff can fix. Focus. One doesn't know where to look or listen. You're drawn everywhere at once, like looking at a nebula vs. Pun intended, a Star. Crown could easily win it all in Indy. Amazing!
  3. Blue was a amazing. Huge standing O Percussion was strong. Guard is very talented. Brass is a big wow Massive audience ovation!!! Could take it all in indy
  4. Boston was much much much improved as well Corps is starting to get the massive challenge of this year's program under feet Percussion is the strength. GE remains a challenge but I'm sure their talented staff will tweak some things.
  5. Spirit was awesome. Much much much improved from just a week ago. Show has great flow now and crowd loved it!!
  6. https://twitter.com/geo1dixon/status/485934831469985793 A don't worry they just repainted the hash marks.
  7. Hahahaha They actually had a few brass players joining in as the show went on.
  8. Just saw cadets two. A lot of potential here, drums overwhelming the brass right now. Hopefully that will balance out as the season progresses and the eight or so brass holes are filled. Should be a great program by labor day! It's a perfect night for drum corps in a perfect venue.
  9. At cadets ensemble. Only three tenors right now. Hope they are OK.
  10. ehh... competitive success breads donations, recruitment, volunteers - so it would be pretty naive if they weren't somewhat focused on it. Shouldn't be the #1 priority, that should be member safety and quality of member experience... but competitive success is a priority as well
  11. anyone there that can comment on the conditions? was it extremely windy?
  12. There's ego involved. And it's inflated as they just won.
  13. Crown doesn't need to add. They need to subtract and clarify the message. The trampolines should be the first to go.
  14. Bluecoats have had MANY great shows over the years... this one is highly competitive, but let's not forget all their tremendous years!
  15. the scoring last night was odd to say the least, I wouldn't read too much into it.
  16. Cadets brass warm up tonight in Bristol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BA1OoGtN9Ik this one the sound is a little distorted due to Rocky https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IL7SZQYhgo some show music in warm up - just incredible https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owcn8f6f7vs
  17. well - there's only 1 east coast leader if you want to get technical hahahahaha (joking!) I agree. BD will be in front by 1.5 points. Once we go head to head with full panels...
  18. as if anyone would SEE them on MSNBC lol... I'm pretty sure reruns of 2012 on TNT at 3am get more of an audience So cool the D&B was on the show this morning - sorry I missed it. They are always great!
  19. Crown only beat PR by a little over 2 points a few days ago... and BD just beat them by 5 last night... ?? It's all a little confusing lol
  20. Agreed. So few shows anymore as it is... I'd say BD will be in first and Vanguard in fifth when they all meet up head to head - the gaps BD is throwing down are impressive Coats have a real shot at a medal and certainly a real shot at the win come Indy... very cool season so far
  21. yeah I fixed that - hard to get a swing of 1.1 pts in a caption in a few days... that's all I was saying but we also saw a big swing in the drum scores so maybe it is just the nature of early season performances and judges seeing the groups the first time...
