I guess I'm wondering why DCP seems to tolerate posts/threads directed at George Hopkins on a "clever" but frankly very personal level. Sad to see this... George.

eh - Crown pretty much gets an instant pass on everything. If BD did the same voice over they would get crucified. Same with Cadets. It is what is is - they are the "new darling" - if they win a few more times it will be quite different.

Sometimes the biggest asset organizations lack are people. Not enough volunteers, donors etc and the corps key folks just get drained and more drained over a few years "oh I'll be there to help" and then nada Just my take on the situation.

While I agree that '11 Cadets program got a "bigger" reaction the '05 Cadets got a great crowd reaction as well. Personally think you are way underestimating the mentality of the masses. Many of us prefer to be moved in a thoughtful manner.

yeah we seem to be in agreement... but smart point / should probably give it six months or so 09 is one of my favorite shows ever of ANY corps - and that corps got better all 3 nights during finals week - really fun to watch.

Just went back and watched their 2012 and 2009 programs Boy do I wish one of those would have taken the gold 2012 - feel brass, drill and drums were all better than 13's -- guard better in 13 obviously 2009 remains my favorite Crown program - nothing comes close - LOVE IT Also I personally greatly prefer their cream uni to the purple. Makes the corps look huge and distinctive. But yeah, I know, they show dirt. And the demand of the drill in 2009/10/11/12 to the drill in 13. 12's drill was nuts. 09's drill was just perfect. The drill into the crown = The drill into the final company front = aka unbelievable! The music arrangements and some of the drill moves in 09 have yet to be topped by Crown in my opinion. 13 is so derivative by comparison. But judging by this thread I'm the only one = which is fine. Carry on

my comment was in response to others anyway - I didn't notice (originally) in Crowns show that the "light" is broken into wavelengths by the "prism" -- as represented by the single line of guard on the left and the several lines on the right - very cool set.

BD pays best

No one is suggesting it is easy. Personally felt Crown was clean but had less visual demand than Cadets or especially BD. JMO There's a very similar move at the end of the opener in Cadets 1991 program. Also messy until finals week when it got a little less messy.

It's a mess. IMO. No marching in either BD or Cadets program was this sloppy. Either prelims or finals - can't tell from the short clip.

Um - do you see the big Colts logo on the field? The only time I saw it performed reasonably clean was semi finals - the other nights it was a mess.
