All I want to say is Thank God Open Class isn't having it's Finals in LOS anymore. Hopefully the DVD (or downloads, w.e) will come from Michigan City, where the crowd is more supportive (even if only seemingly) and the corps seem to be big enough to be considered. LOS just makes them seem too small.

How many has Andrew Odello won? He's been in the Blue Devils' organization since the age of 3 I believe.

Although I don't doubt the probability of this, you can't say it would have definitely happened. Are the Kingsmen going to Finals?

The only thing I dislike about Dynasty is how everything is so FLIPPING HEAVY. Lifting Dynasty Marimbas onto a budget truck in '09 wasn't fun. As for the snare drum sound... to me, even as a snare drummer, it's going to sound really high, obnoxious, and loud no matter what company created the drum. I don't think the snares sound like garbage. If your snares sound like crap, either the line is dirty or you must stink at tuning

Not many of the members I've talked to are fans of the proposal. And by not many, I mean none. Personally, I just don't understand it well enough to form an opinion. I will probably look at it more later though. *shrug*

When I was told it, I was perfectly cool with not being on a DVD this year. It's more money that was used for us to get from Dallas (or wherever you come from) to Indy.

I like what the cavaliers did this year ;) They didn't really hit any forms in preshow... but it was perfect for their concept.

I do not see this happening.... at all. If Open Class was done for, I have no idea how I'd spend my summers :( I can't handle having weekdays with nothing to do!

For laundry days, get the sheets that act as soap AND a dryer sheet. Those things are bomb. SPF 50+ Sunscreen. Coppertone works great for pit people, as you CAN NOT let it get on your hands if you're holding mallets. (You just won't be able to play) Don't buy aerobed, they don't last the summer. Get Ozark Trail or a similar brand that you can find at Walmart, they last FOREVER. (All of corps and indoor season for me) Debit/Prepaid credit card. Don't bring cash. You won't need it. (Maybe $50, it will easily last you the entire summer. I only used cash for a shirt at Finals.) For the shirt-turban thing, this is how you do it (for those who don't know). Take the shirt and put it over your head but not over your arms. Make it to where the neck hole is across your face to where you can see through the hole. Tie the sleeves behind your head. This will make the neck hole much thinner and will be like a slit. Put sunglasses on. You now look like a beast. Bring maybe 3 shirts. Don't worry, you'll never wear them. Section shorts. One pair. Because you're cool like that. (Just wash them in the shower. GET MESH SHORTS!!!) Aloe Vera, for when that SPF 50 doesn't do the job. (YOU WILL MORE THAN LIKELY NEED IT! And if you don't, I guarantee you someone else will.) You should survive with all that. I suggest you bring underwear though, and a lot of it. Or just be cool and don't wear it. (Just kidding.)
