A director still makes the call regarding which camera goes out to the live feed. Clearly you understand what I am saying. The director in the booth/van has a view of every camera and makes the decision which one goes "live" at any given moment. To stay on a guardie for 5+ seconds while they are kneeling on the ground changing equipment is not learning curve issue when it happens multiple times. Some version of this scenario has happened at every show. Someone mentioned earlier that DCI should have someone with "Drum Corps" experience working with Flo and they should have fixed this as well. Mike, You are better than this and I respect your opinions. However, you are sounding like an apologist trying to defend an inferior product right now.

I would grant you this as true if it was only an audio issue. As I stated earlier, this is not the first time the director selected a camera for the live feed that was "inappropriate" for the show. Weather it be a guardie changing equipment on the sideline, a shot of people hiding under/behind a prop or showing someone only after they completed a solo, this is very low tier quality when we are paying the full price to support their learning curve. Every one of these corps competing spend large amounts of $ to get the right equipment to do their shows. Shouldn't we expect the same from DCI and their subcontractors?

Lucky you. I have purchased the DCI online feed (FanNetwork, DCILive, etc.) ever since it was started almost a decade ago. You missed the worst feed (mistakes, camera work, audio) since DCI started streaming IMHO.

Why am I starting to think the defenders of Flo are tied to DCI or Flo in some capacity and are here to boost their approvals? I am beyond frustrated with these excuses. Connectivity/Speed are unacceptable excuses. The only people that haven't complained about buffering are those with T1 or better connections for the most part. The system is supposedly adjusting to lower the quality (720 or lower) for those with slower speeds. If that is the case, why the buffering at the lowest quality level? Microphone placement is atrocious. The drum corps activity is a "Drum" & "Bugle" Corps activity. We should be able to hear all of the drums and all of the bugles. Not the pit with brass accompaniment in the background. It is sad when the strongest of brass still sound like background music to the pit. Camera work is embarrassing. It is sad when a director who is choosing the camera to place on the live feed stays on a guard member who is kneeling down to change equipment on the sideline while important visuals are happening on the field. Last night was not the first time this has happened. This is a "Live Event". To not have the sound "on" at showtime is embarrassing. We didn't even get to hear the National Anthem. Much less the first third of BD and a good portion of SCV. How is it that someone didn't test the audio before the feed went live? Or fix the issue between the Anthem and the first corps. To have the same thing happen to the second corps after fixing it for the first corps leaves a lot to be desired. All we get from FloMarching is a tweet that they are aware of the issue. Customer Service from this company is lacking. They have your money and their isn't a #### thing we can do about it. We are stuck with this since there is no other option.

I assume you're using a tunnel to get Flo outside of the US. Is that a factor with the baseball streaming too? No, I'm in Virginia. FloMarching feed via I.E. tonight. Worked fine for the first half of Dekalb. Once the top corps showed up, the buffering started. Even after I turned off everything else including the baseball game in my phone. This is clearly a bandwidth issue from the provider. No more excuses. posted from the DrumScorps app

A lot of people are having flawless feeds. I sure am, all the way in Australia. It's most likely at your end. Not at all. I was watching a baseball game on my phone during the first half of Delalb with no issues at all. Everything went off except the show for the second half of Dekalb and buffering happened during every corps of the second half. Same thing now in Denver. If this is correct, that means I will be paying for two months to get finals. My loss now. Looks like I will pay the same $100 just like last year. At least I will get Finals without the additional charge.

This is the weekend I stated I will be buying as well. We are now in the window and it is time. I suspect Flomarching will see their largest sales over the next 48 hours of any two day period since starting the DCI run. DONE!

I'm about to put Nitroglycerin on this fire that got gas put on it last night. The heat I'm about to receive will be severe. However, I want you to look at the statement as a whole before you go off. I can't believe we still don't have titles for the Buccaneers show on this site or Corps Reps. We have a name of the show and "Music By" with no titles. The corps has been on the field twice with one scored competition. Unfortunately, I can't get to any shows this year. however, I would like to know what they are playing. Anyone? Bueller??????????

I'm holding off until the July 15 shows. Let them fix the problems and then buy for one month to get through finals. $49 to see finals is cheaper than last year and I will still get to see a ton of shows. Hopefully the issues that have been mentioned by many will be improved by mid-July.
