Completely true and completely unfortunate. I can't tell you how many shows that have touched me that weren't too 5. I remember bawling during 2011 Madison, throwing babies during anything Oregon Crusaders, going ballistic over Bridgemania from Surf and I remember running the length of military park in elation during semifinals when Crossmen made finals in 2012. These kids work too dang hard in the lower corps to get glossed over. It kills me that a 5th place corps can be called garbage in a caption when in all reality they were tenths behind the leader. I help work the open class show in Avon Lake and we have a packed house every year (more than open class champs) and it makes me proud. All these kids deserve to get looked at and sometime the greatest shows come without the pressure of having to win every year.

I'm dying to see video from these past few rehearsals but there has been nothing! I can't even watch the webcast tonight. I'm going through serious withdrawal over here.

How silly that a 10 second change can ruin an entire show for you.

Which is why BD won brass last year, although I disagree with that decision.

IMO I think it works perfectly with the theme of the show considering it's the "Gates of Hell."

I read Dante's Inferno in preparation for Crown's show and I must say you sound extremely pretentious. The great part about this show is it's enjoyable to those who haven't read the Dante and enjoyable to those who have. Those who haven't read it are not below those who have and don't deserve to enjoy it any less.

This sounds like a disaster. Talking to family of students at the show and staff members it's a total nightmare. People are being denied access and taken into a classroom to watch the webcast. They may or may not be allowed to watch their kids perform with crown in the finale. BoA made the call to keep this on and logistically it's a nightmare.

Even if they do debut a new closer it still won't be the "final closer." Crown is notorious for having 3 different closers a season. I expect Allentown to be the final form.

CONGRATS and thank you to Crown's percussion... They're saving my life at the moment because I convinced my fiancé to take them as a calculated risk in our fantasy league and it's paying off...for now.

What you implied was the Bluecoats must've won because the Cadets had an off night. That undermines what the 'Coats accomplished. Also to whoever assumed there is home advantage. I find that wildly inaccurate. I have not seen any good evidence that corps get a favorable score at home.

But it's ok to undermine a win when your team doesn't win? Got it.

Every corps does that every day. So now it's a contest to see who uses more pine-sol on their show.

Wow I can't believe I didn't see that! That's awesome and now it makes sense.

It's nice to see Kristensen as far away from Crown as possible. Yes, I know he had a warming moment with them at finals but he still tends to be one of their harshest critics from a judging standpoint.

What I find to be the case is that what corps like Crown are putting out volume-wise now isn't even close to what they will put out in August. The only corps that I notice seems maxed out in June consistently are the Cadets. By August the hornline falls flat because I have seem little development throughout the season. (I know I will get flayed by the Boltons...I mean, Cadets fans...for that.)

I thought Crown had stated the silks will change. The green seems very out of place.

I would be surprised if this wasn't the case. I am curious to know what they define as a 5 or an 8. Last night nothing sounded higher than what I would personally consider a 4.

I'm hoping Boston can shake off the Akron show and go do their thing. Their hornline was very timid last night.

In 2013 at finals I sat next to a Blue Devils fan who'd been to every finals since 1982. He always sits front row on the 50. Even though he is a massive BD fan he looked at me (as I'm wearing homemade purple pants) and said he wanted to see Crown win it. Although he was careful to add "just once." Greatest sportsmanship moment. Glad to see supportive cadets fans right now.

Sounds like DCI is doing some severe damage to their brand with this DCI Live mess.
