Hadn't seen this when I posted in the Crown 2013 thread, but here's the piece that it came from - . "Enter the Galaxies" starts around the 9:02 mark, but there is a little of the melody even before that.

"Immortal" was on top of my list for them to play until I heard " ". The material that starts around the 9:02 mark has also become a standalone piece called "Enter the Galaxies".

Don't forget Sky Ryders' version in 1987, and BD had an interesting take in 1998 where they weaved the storyline with Romeo & Juliet.

While not top 4, Star of Indiana had some in 1986.

They can go through San Jose where there is a Japantown.

Back in the 80's, Bakersfield HAD a summer youth band program called the Golden Empire Suns. It wasn't a field show band - mainly parade/concert, and it had young kids. They had a hand in hosting the Golden Empire Classic drum & bugle corps shows that were held in Memorial Stadium at Bakersfield College. I can see this as a "rekindling" in a bigger way. I "think" I know at least one person with a hand in it, and if he has the foundation, they could pull it off.

Yep. Got my face blasted off when they played this for the crowd at the bbq prior to DCI West, and they had battery too. The music of Paul Lovatt-Cooper is truly amazing. I've picked up 6 mp3's of his stuff in the past 2 weeks.

Thank you, Crown, for coming out West. It was great to see (and especially hear) you Saturday night at Stanford, and tonight in Santa Clara. Good luck with the rest of the season, and have safe travels along the way. ...and please come back.

The booing was for Crown being announced in 2nd place. Where I was sitting, there was some "oooooooing" going on too. That just personified the situation.

Dear Crown. I'm sure there's a California town that would love to take you in.
