  1. Not bad. Not bad at all. Looks like they'll have a background in the show?
  2. Weather-wise... The high for Clovis on Friday should be in the low 90's. The high for Stanford on Saturday should be in the low-mid 80's. The high for Sacramento on Sunday should be in the mid-80's. Weather.gov indicates a slight chance of showers in the evening. The high for Santa Clara on Monday should be mid-upper 70's. Welcome back to California, Crown. If I calculate these weather patterns into the equation for West Coast inflation, you should be scoring in the low 90's this early in the season.
  3. I kinda' thought he meant the uniform. Take a look at SCV's uniform in 1994 when they did "The Red Poppy". There's probably a better one out there on the net....or find the video.
  4. 1995 Cavies - the DNA drill 2001 Cadets - solo guard pass-thru the corps during "Farandole"
  5. I've seen them twice - in April and Memorial Day weekend since they were close to my home. I was there the night the YouTube video was taken. There is certainly some meat in the show. I'm laughing a little at the comments that are comparing this to Boston. I guess this takes some of the pressure off of the 1989 Cadets.
  6. 2004 Tour of Champions @ San Jose State Spartan Stadium Madison Scouts DM has corps hold note. DM gets off podium - runs up the steps of the lower deck - runs up the steps to the upper deck for continuation. Probably 45 seconds to a minute?

  8. 1995 Cadets doing silent drill and guard work near the end of "Far and Away".
  9. I was hoping they'd go through the whole show that night, but they sounded pretty darn good.
  10. I live a couple blocks away from the new stadium. It's right behind California's Great America (amusement park currently owned be Cedar Fair, just got a new coaster). It's right across the street from the Santa Clara Convention Center (hello I&E). The Convention Center is connected to the Hyatt (hello DCI HQ for championships). There's a light rail system that runs on Tasman Dr. (the street between the stadium and the convention center), and an Amtrak station very close by. It's also 10-15 minutes away from San Jose International. Buck Shaw Stadium at Santa Clara University could be ideal for Open Championships - maybe 20 minutes away. I don't think the new MLS Earthquakes stadium would work since it is being built right across from the airport.
  11. Just sampled "Walking With Heroes" and "The Dark Side of the Moon" from here.
  12. I remember going to a show in Sacramento that year, and as I was leaving the stadium during scores, I heard that BK won percussion over BD & SCV.
  13. Ask Matt Harloff from Crown. I think he was Star's DM that year.
  14. Stanford better be on their list. Wonder if they'll do what BAC did and start the season out here with final camps.
  15. Connection between Star & Crown? One would be that Star's DM in '93 and Crown's current brass supervisor are one-in-the-same. I'll post my list of shows later (I'm at the end of my lunch break at work).
  16. This one from 1991 came first to my mind too.
  17. I know where it is in the old closing design, but actually haven't heard the new design yet.
  18. Nice. I looked at your website saw you do the same for winter guard (w/ percussion to be added in the future?).
  19. Don't forget that Vic Firth does cooking tools too.
