I have never seen a guard this good. That was phenomenal and flawless. The guy playing David is just fearless and amazing. They deserve a perfect score in guard.

Pacific Crsst was fantastic. Guard was super strong.

I thought that was a great run. By far the best guard so far. The first one that looked like they had some decent technique!

Great show bd. Great guard but I hate the “run and reset” between numbers, which they do every year. Clearly th judges don’t have an issue with it. So what do I know!!!!

I think Cavies will end in 4th by seasons end

Musically Crown is amazing. Visually they seem ‘small’ and if they didn’t have a guard, you wouldn’t rally miss them

Crown’s guard is gonna kill them. They add so little and are still not that clean

Cadets making the best of a very poorly designed show. Good to see some old Cadets style drill at the end. Shame it’s in early July form with only 2 weeks left of the season!

I can see why BS guard is in the top 5. Insanely difficult and varied book and really starting to clean up.

Yes I didn’t mean it as an insult. More a compliment to the guard and a general observation

I just watched Boston from a couple of nights ago. I cannot see anyone (including BD) touching their guard this year - it is spectacular and is staged to feature them predominantly throughout the show. In fact they are so well featured that the brass and percussion seem to be there to provide the musical backdrop to showcase the guard, and I wonder if this will impact them later in the season? It's clear they know their guard is the top part of the corps and consequently feature them throughout. Not a criticism but an observation.

As it has been for the last few years! Gotta fix that. They need a new guard designer and a new drill writer!

I doubt Cadets have more talent in their guard than Blue Stars and probably Mandarins (with their Diamante connection (3rd in IW at WGI). Guard plays such a significant part to a corps' success but so many people over look it! Cappybara - i fixed your comment for you 🙂

Every year people under rate BS. Heck they placed 8th last year and many people predict they will place 10th or lower this year! They are off to a strong start (unlike many other years) so it will be interesting to see where they can take this program and no doubt they have plans to utilise the props more and add a lot more to bring the show to life. I’m sure it won’t be too long until they beat Cadets and then there will be no looking back.
