Once the season is over, I pay little to no attention to drill as I use a lot of DCI music for studying. If it isn't exciting without the drill, it isn't going to be played. But I'm not sure where I ever implied I was a DCI judge so your offhand comment was unnecessary.

Hmm that closer vid seemed very technical and difficult, but it didn't excite me. Hopefully the closer ends up changing like it usually does.

I'm pretty sure my high school band competed against Oakton when they did that show.

WOW. I regret putting Troopers in 12th over Crossmen in the prediction thread now. Super excited by this. Probably my 2nd favorite announcement so far behind the Cadets.

If it's anything like the style they've played since 2008 (with the exception of 2013), I'll be very excited.

Is there a reason why you're looking for semis instead of finals?

Like you said, I'm optimistic about the Troopers (I'm actually a fan of the Crossmen but decided to put the Troopers in front for now). As for OC, I really feel like they're going to have a break out year soon. That corps is so amazing and I see a lot of potential. I've really liked their show themes the past 3 years including this year. They're probably going to always be a top 15 pick for me no matter where they place the year before.

I agree. Never have been a Cavies fan because of their hornline, but they made me a fan with their show last year.

I don't think you understand how scoring works. The scores are all relative. A 99.65 does not mean BD was almost perfect. That's impossible. What matters are the spreads between corps. Otherwise, taken out of context, a 93.25 one year doesn't mean anything if you want to compare a 93.25 in another year. BD's score only reflects how much better they were than everyone else in 2014.

Lol I think it's more because that since im so "young," I'm too used to the use of filters and so seeing an image with a filter is the norm for me, not an unusual occurrence.

Well yes. It's hard to be a corps with classical tendencies like Regiment and not end up playing a piece that another corps or they themselves have done sometime in the past 30 years. And I agree, this theme seems unlike anything else Regiment had done. Reminds me more of On Air and Into the Light more than anything.

You misjudge me. I actually can't stand the early 2000's Cavies shows at all. All visual and low focus on brass. Yuck. I really enjoyed their show last summer and would love something like that again. Their description of the show just had me concerned that it would be like those early 2000 Cavies shows that I don't enjoy. Anyways, all I ask is that you not try to control the dialogue. Let everyone voice their opinion and see who comes out as the fools when the show is performed. I'm very okay with one of those fools being me.
