  1. Good run by Crown last night but there were some sound issues with the electronics and just let the brass line play themselves without pumping extra synth sound in. What a difference in the guard they enhance the show so much more from a GE perspective but they need to clean up way to many drops last night but nothing like BAC had. Crown's percussion just needs to keep holding it's own and just keep cleaning. Scores are exactly where they should be for this time of the year. It's going to be fun to watch how this show grows the rest of the year, looks like a BD vs Crown for the gold in Indy.
  2. Cadets need to take a long hard look at the current visual and design staff. It doesn't look like the current staff will get Cadets back into the top 6 along with winning another Championship anytime soon but who do they bring in to get them back to the top 6 level again. Also, Cadets score is exactly where it should be and I agree they will be in the 7th-8th slot but maybe they will surprise us and take the 6th slot by Indy.
  3. If BAC wins tomorrow night there will be a lot of unhappy Crownies tomorrow night
  4. This year reminds me a lot like 2015, I just have this feeling that Crown will win Thursday & Friday and Blue Devils will win Saturday night and don't be surprised if Boston is 3rd Saturday night but this is just my opinion.
  5. So how close will Boston be to Crown tomorrow night..
  6. Yes, Crown needs to perform tomorrow night after a week off. I'm curious to see the spread between Crown & Boston tomorrow night.
  7. The Ott trophy is definitely staying with Crown, they do have a Championship level show but they will be competing with Blue Devils for gold and it might come down to has the better percussion line. I'm a little surprised your calling it so early in the season, lol..
  8. I need to see this show live, I like the first part and last part but they lose my interest in the middle jazzy part but what a difference in the brass line from 2019
  9. After watching the Cadets last night they are much improved from 2019, especially the brass line and I actually don't mind the new uniforms but that being said the Cadets need to take a hard look at the current "brand". Changes are needed from the top down if they are going to return to the top 6. The show design is not there, is it improved for sure but it needs to be at a higher level and I feel the current design team may not be able to achieve that goal, these are very hard decisions to make but something has to change and if doesn't then I don't see Cadets moving any near the top 6 again, but this is only my opinion, looking forward to seeing Cadets in Indy.
  10. First of all there are plenty of Crown fans in this forum. Second, I don't think a lot of people expected Crown to beat Blue Coats last night. The biggest difference this year to me is the guard and how much improved they are from 2019 and that is reflected in the GE scores, hiring Tyler was key and he has made an immediate impact as the guard is back to the level of 2015 & 2016, IMO. The brass is off the charts good, it might be the best Crown brass ever but lets debate that at the end of the year and the Ott trophy is staying with Crown. I hope the percussion can hold its own and the visual show has enough meat in it to bring home the gold but the Devils and Blue Coats will be right there with Crown, can't wait to see everyone in Indy..
  11. Yes I agree with you but the judges don't seem to reward marching drill as much anymore 😠 so if you are going to do it make sure it's really clean.
  12. I think you are right. I see this year very similar to 2019 unless Crown can crack the top 2.
  13. I'm hoping they are within 2 points of BD & BC. I just hope they get credit from the judges with all the drill that they are doing but I guess we'll know the answer to that Saturday night. Oh and the Ott trophy is staying in Carolina..
  14. Ugh, I was hoping not to hear that from you. I'm very nervous about the show design.
  15. I’m not sure I find this show title all that interesting. We all know the show will be great musically and the guard will be much improved but we’ll have to see how well this show is designed.
  16. I hope the show design matches the musical book..
  17. I don't really care for the screens, but the horn line is awesome and they are pushing for a medal in 2022..
  18. Blue Coats have the best show design period. They are on a total different level than anyone else. It's like a professional production compared to everybody else. You just have to seem them live...
  19. Will Crown have a championship show for 2022..
  20. First of all, you all know I'm a huge Crown fan. However, there was nothing creative about this show, IMO but the guard was much improved from 2019, which bodes well for 2022. Show design and visual design will be key for 2022 and we'll see if the current staff can be creative enough to bring Crown another championship..
  21. I never noticed the guy's snare drum falling off at the very end of the 2019 show
  22. 2008: Phantom Regiment "Spartacus" 2014: Blue Knights "That One Second" 2016: Crown "Relentless"
