  1. Since Cavies went unbeaten in 2002, this must be 2003. And I am afraid your friend was a little late to the party regarding BD "Finally" passing Cavies. BD went past them July 26th in Indy at Midwestern Finals and never looked back. Cavies never came close to beating BD the rest of the season. I believe BD beat them by more than a point all three nights finals week, so that was pretty much a forgone conclusion for that particular year.
  2. 100% agreed. Broken Arrow and San Antonio will tell us alot. Right now it's all speculation, bias, and what we want and hope happens.
  3. Mandarins are breaking 90 this year no doubt. Highest world class score to date is 2019 semi-finals 89.43. They are going to annihilate that score. Seriously laughing at the people in the predictions thread that said Mandarins wouldn't make finals lol.
  4. Agreed. To be the man you have to beat the man. You can knockout all the dudes you want, but until you beat Mike Tyson (for example) you aren't the champ. Until proven otherwise, BD has earned the right to be the man each and every year until someone proves they can beat them head to head in August when it really counts. And since 2007, only five shows have managed to do that. At some point BDs top two run will end. Nothing last forever. But I agree with you, it won't be in 2022.
  5. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Being a SoCal kid, until I left for the Navy in 1997, anything east of Las Vegas was considered east coast to me LMAO.
  6. You are welcome brother. Thank you so much! Covid certainly hit everyone, but PC doesn't have that "Street Cred" that the NorCal corps has.......if that makes sense. Plus with Gold right down the FWY, they took away some kids that might have marched PC this summer. I know for a fact that several kids marching Gold right now chose them over PC. My son being one of them.
  7. I don't want to speak for directly for greg_orangecounty, but i read it as more of a dislike/rivalry. Kind of like Red Sox fans could probaly stomach losing to the Mariners to get to the World Series..................but not the Yankees lol. But again i could be wrong.
  8. Funny you ask. I was born and raised in SoCal and even I don't know where it begins/ends LMAO. If you ask people from Bakersfield, they consider themselves SoCal, but we say they are central which pisses them off. LOL. For me personally, on the 101 FWY, once you hit Ventura County, that's SoCal. On the I-5 FWY heading south, once you hit the Grapevine, that's SoCal. But you can ask ten different people and get ten different answers LMAO.
  9. I think alot of the SoCal kids go up north to march BD/BDB/SCV/SCVC. Isn't RCC (Riverside Community College) known as Blue Devils South cause half of the RCC band marches BD in the summer? Not to mention with the Mandarins rise and threatening to crack the top seven, that also can't be helping PC in keeping some of the SoCal kids home. Also, while everyone was affected by Covid in 2020, I believe no one was affected more from a competitive standpoint than PC. They were carrying alot of momentum into 2020 with the way they finished 2019. Not saying they would have made finals in 2020, but i believe they would have been in the conversation. Covid derailed any momentum they had, now they have to essentially start over. Of course this is all my opinion. I could be way off as to why they are struggling this year.
  10. I think you can add Gold too. PC was 4.7 points up on Gold at the first show on June 24th. Since then, Gold has closed the gap on PC every head to head meeting, getting the gap down to 1.9 at Stanford. If Gold wasn't ravaged by Covid this past week and reduced to standstill's, the gap might be even closer.

  12. I noticed Brandon Olander in a couple of vids working with the battery. I hope one day in the future, Brandon is ScoJo's successor, whenever he decides to retire.
  13. East Coast, West Coast............I don't care. If you are booing, heckling a bunch of kids performing a show, you are an idiot and a freaking loser who needs to get their life together. Speaking in general. Not at you.
  14. Question with Open Class. Is this saying that SCVC who scored 72+ last night...........will only improve one point the rest of the season............same with BDB who scored 71.700 last night, will only improve a half a point the remainder of the season? Gold who hasn't performed since Stanford due to Covid and Illnesses, and is 3-0 vs SCVC.......and 2-1 vs BDB in head to head competition, won't even crack 70 by season's end?
  15. I was told that my great grandfather was a diehard Cubs fan. For the 45 years that him and great grandma were married till he passed away in 1976, he said this is the year the Cubs win the world series......every single year. Although he never got to see it, he was eventually correct when the Cubs won it all 2016. Nevermind the fact it took him 85 years to be right. I guess the point is, if you keep saying the same things over and over, year after year, at some point you will look like a genius and be right, all the while hoping people don't have a book full of receipts from the hundreds of times you was wrong lol.
  16. I only remember cause I stationed in Japan at that time, and I was going TAD (Temporary Assigned Duty) to Singapore. I was leaving for airport, frantically waiting on the scores from the first Texas show only to find out they wouldn't be released until after the second show had concluded the following night. I was furious all the way to Singapore LMAO.
  17. I remember in 2011 they did start in Texas with 2 or 3 shows, but they didn't announce scores until after the last show. Weird format lol.
  18. How is Crown 1st when the top six haven't even met yet? Yes they have the highest score to this point and the Crown fans can walk with their chest out, but we won't know who is truly "First" until Broken Arrow on Tuesday. Whoever comes out on top Tuesday night, they earned it. I don't care who it is.
  19. But that wasn't what I was asking him. I was referring to why Lakers and Dodgers should get an asterisk next to their championships, but the Tampa teams don't. He admitted it was personal hatred for those teams.
  20. Well to be honest, for me, BDs performance times dont bother me. BD has proven performance order doesn't matter during the TOC. 2012-2017..........BD performed in one of the first three time slots 14 times at the TOC. 10 first place finishes. 3 second place finishes. 1 third place finish. And BD was 6-0 when they performed first. Crown, BD, Boston, Bloo, etc.........if they are "THAT DUDE" like their respective fanbases say they are, then they will come out on top regardless of what time they perform.
  21. Oh that's going to happen! Some (Not all) Crown fans are already getting the pre-show excuses ready in case Broken Arrow doesn't go their way. Performance Order will be at the top guaranteed!
  22. I had a feeling it was more personal than anything. But I didn't want to assume. My only thing is yes the baseball season was shortened to 60 games, but ALL the teams played 60 games. If it was only the Dodgers playing 60, while everyone else played a full 162, than you would have a valid point. So it was even across the board. All the teams knew what they were up against.
