God Almighty that is Magnificent! -
The gentle "45" by Bon Iver and the brashness of “Bump" by Anna Meredith. The stark contrast. Brilliant and GEffective. Looking forward to seeing it again.

Came across this opening theme by composer David Shire from the movie The Hindenburg. https://youtu.be/OOM-VoRWpmc -
One of the things I really enjoy each year with DCI is discovering new music, artists, bands, and composers as corps release their show themes and musical repertoires. And then to hear and see how that same music is weaved masterfully by arrangers and designers into a show mosaic. Then to see it progressively refined, cleaned, perfected and performed on the road to finals by these talented and amazing performers. Thank you to all for bringing such a wealth of creative work. Some of my favorites this year. Blue Devils "Tank!" Yoko Kanno Bluecoats "Momento Magico" Youn Sun Nah Blue Stars All their show music! Boston "Symphony No. 7 (3rd Mvmt) David Maslanka Cadets "American Gothic: III. Pitchfork" Michael Daugherty Carolina "Taccota Andromeda" Paul Halley, "Benedictus" Karl Jenkins Cavaliers "The Floor is Lava" Bent Knee Colts "Arabian Waltz" Silk Road Ens. "Divas and Dunes" Aaron Zigman Mandarins "Otherside" Avi Kaplan Phantom "Godspeed!" Stephen Melillo Vanguard "Breakfast in Baghdad" Ulf Wakenius Troopers "Without Warning" Stephen Melillo It's been a historical 50th year for DCI. Bluecoats Alumni Corps was so memorable last night Such a job well done and a big thank you to all. And thank you NebraskaGBR for posting those show schedules here on DCP throughout the year! Finals are Finally here! Enjoy the show everyone.
