  1. I’m not even going over to the Madison thread...#### storm
  2. They added a female and stuck her behind a prop for six minutes. Yes, I compulsively timed it.
  3. I don’t want anyone to think I’m anti-Scouts. My kid marched there. I’m frustrated because I had hopes that the corps would build itself up after that disastrous 2007 season. Now, it seems they may end up in 15th place..just like 2007.
  4. It may be better now but I recall not being able to get a signal. Show was rained out and moved to a steamy gym, too. I remember that but I can’t go to a grocery store for two items without a list.
  5. If memory serves, and I haven’t been to a show there since 2007, the Internet sucked.
  6. We don’t have to deal with this next year, thank goodness.
  7. 12 days until I see The Cadets. I’m bringing tissues.
  8. I stood in front of them at Mt. Healthy high school last month. Whoa Nellie. Powerful.
  9. It was pure luck that the Cubs were there the weekend of the Mason show. It’s easier to get tickets out of town now than Wrigley.
  10. Neither of the Chicago teams can beat the Reds in Cincinnati. The Cubs got swept when I was there. It was so fun to be there for the sweep game.
  11. To quote @gak27 on another thread... Welcome to DCP. You do realize it's kinda what we do here, right?
  12. It’s exactly the same here in the Chicago area. Lots of boomers. It’s like old home week at these shows. The Cincinnati show I went to otoh...lots of young ones.
  13. DCAHD.com. Box 5 doesn’t have an app that you can get from roku. I’m going to have to run it through my laptop to the big screen. Like the old days with fan network. $14 for Peckville.
  14. I don’t think any brassline I was in had quotas for females. I doubt that would ever happen.
  15. He was truly great. I have no idea where he ended up but I’ll wager he’s doing something special in music.
  16. The young man that played the solo in 1979 was Rich Moss. Excellent trombone player. Was a student of a member of the CSO. He played that solo so well on a 2v baritone that you almost thought he was playing a trombone. It was honor to march with him in 1978.
  17. He played that great solo in Tiger of San Pedro, too. ( A nod to my Guardsmen BITD.)
  18. Speaking of that, I read that Bill Watrous has passed. He played that fantastic trombone solo.
