  1. But there all true. Don't be fooled DCP this man is a professional liar. Ive seen first hand, I experienced it. If we don't want this to happen again this must be stopped DCI MUST step in and take action. There are plenty of corps going thru finical issues but no members stranded in parking lots wondering how there going to get home. That's unsafe and it neglects the duties of the people placed in charge to protect these members. I'm not accusing I'm making a statement.
  2. I really enjoyed Revolution's show this season. I don't understand how so many people were lost conception-ally. Well I can kind of see it but once that show started to clean up it all started making more since to me. But as usual I felt as if the percussion section was just wailing the guard was not the greatest and the hornline was pretty good, better then they usually are that's for sure. After I watched the show a couple times I finally understood what the cloaked individual was supposed to depict so I understood what they were really going for. Good for them. What really stood out about the show to me was the speed those kids were moving almost the whole show. They ask alot of there performers there and to me I would send any kid of mine there any day over 2 of 3 corps that finished ahead of them. Seeing that corps early season and seeing that corps at the end of the season I wish I could shake the hand of that instructional staff because they are good at what they do. I just wish more people would hop on the Revolution train I mean they do have a championship under there belt as well.
  3. Wow wat a statement. I happen to know all the guys on that staff and I will say that your statement although may have a little truth to it isn't the reason behind the sound that Revolution produces. And the only reason that this statement even has a bit of truth behind it is that the brass staff there is sooo young. Not one of them I believe are above the age of 25, but with that being said I must give them credit for what they are doing out there. For being so young they are still able to pull in a solid 6th place hornline. Now your opinion when you think of the grand scheme of things really doesn't matter and I know the members and the staff of that corps won't get on here and respond as im sure they don't even read this but Im gonna defend them. Thats a little harsh we all start somewhere im sure they understand what they need to fix and will do that but #### no need to attack. These are young guys and are learning as well as you are when it comes to this activity. I give them credit. GOOD JOB GUYS keep up the good work. And hope you guys see more success in your future.
  4. I went to the Atl power regional this last weekend and I was wondering if anyone else was there to see some insane s*** go down with the light brigade. I must give them mad props for having to restart there show twice (an AMAZING show at that) and having the music cut off on them twice as well as having the music not start for them correctly on there Sunday finals performance. Then after watching Light Brigade, Crown, and Northeast it's obvious that Northeast was the better of the three but for Crown to be beating Light Brigade that I dont understand. Im usually not a guy that does the whole scores thing but come on WGI wats going on. Do you guys agree or am I alone in this.
  5. As I read thru I cant help but notice the comments being made about the music and shows being unoriginal and boring. Can I bring your attention to the light Brigade. D**** I just saw them in Atl and despite the music thing that wgi did to them they were AMAZING!!!! Its a must see imho of course.
  6. I think so many people didnt feel the connection from 05 Cadets because alot of people wasn't open to watch a show of that nature (having amplification of voices) coming from the Cadets. I enjoyed phantom 08 alot but feel that everyone loved the show so much because of the situation the show was in. Making a come back to win on finals night always gets the audience extra hype about the show. I feel it was the tight race that helped it alot then not to mention they threw down a high energy very emotional show. As in 05 everyone knew the Cadets were gonna win when they defeated the Cavaliers in Indy. Just my opinion of course.
  7. I must say as funny as some of those things are they are its really dissapointing to hear so many people crack jokes at the expense of the performers. you can try to twist it any other way but thats wat it is. The performers dont pick there show they just dedicate themselves and bust there a** to make it the best show they can. And here people degrade and take away from the hard work and s*** they put in all season for. The last thing I would want is to watch my age out show or my finals show on dvd and hear some big a** hole yell some smart a** remark just to be funny. I dont think its cool and I dont really agree with it. The performers work hard all summer and winter dont take your frustration of amps, props, unis, or whatever out on them by ruining there show it sucks and you guys need to stop its stupid. What ever had to real drum corps fans, the ones that supported corps and performers?
  8. I noticed nobody mentioned cadets and crossmen there is a big rivalry there. a BIG one .
  9. The Cadets and The Cavaliers in my eyes have used them the best way. some other corps such as phantom and scv has done them some justice but cadets and cavies have been more consitant with it.
  10. i have seen sjr on youtube it was up for a lil bit but i think they took it down. there show seems good but it gets a little redundant after a while. Black Watch isn't all that great after watching the show I can't understand how they are doing so well score wise. Has anyone seen or heard anything about the light brigade i wonder how they are doing. there scores seem a little higher for them at this point the before.
  11. 2000-Cavaliers 2001-Cadets 2002-Cadets(they had some moments but were the cleanest) 2003-Cadets/Cavaliers(Cadets were crazy clean, and Cavies had cool stuff) 2004-Blue Devils 2005-Cadets
  12. I saw them moving at the last camp and let me tell you there deff moving like a top 5 corps would be at this time. I think this might be that break back in year for them if you know what i mean. a year kind of like 2001 but better. I'm going to even say top 8 for them. I can't wait to see this show on the field.
  13. I can't believe how many people arent saying the Cadets. They are one of the most intense and intimidating corps around right now. My vote goes to SCV, Cadets, and Boston. These are the 3 corps that look the most intimidating to me. Not to take away from the Cavaliers or anything but nothing about them intimidate me. Everytime i'm near them there laughing and playing and talking hardly doing anything to intimidate me.
  14. I'm going to have to say 2005 Cadets when the hornline was in the big hold in the closer right before the end of the show. that was quite possibly one of the cleanist sets I ever seen. the fact that they came from running into a PERFECT set blows my mind every time i see it. and not to mention many other moments in that show where no matter how hard i try i just can't find a person out of place.
  15. I guess the corps running around the whole show isn't enough for you guys. These guys barely had a second to breath if it werent' for the ballad it would have been non-stop running. Maybe the show ended that way on purpose. so the audience would be like WTF was that. Who knows but all i know is when i watched the closer and liquid and machine and saw how much those guys were running around and hauling a** I couldn't believe it. Look at the drill during the tenor feature in machine that is incredible. Look at Kill Bill during the pit stuff when there making the blocks and the lil stair step things thats insane. cmon thats some running and you can't deny that. Give them a break. And like it or not they are your current DCI world champions.
  16. last I heard the door got sold to a high school at the conclusion of the season. So I wonder how this is gonna work out if there is gonna be a sequel to the show.
  17. I think it's funny how you edited omello's comment to fit your bashing needs Titan. the "bounce" is something the Cadets do but it's uniformed. You won't see one person bouncing but you will see everyone do it if they are even doing it. After watching the cadets this past season i noticed that the bouncing has dramatically decreased from the past years i have seen them. And even with the bounce it must be working because afterall they did tie the all time high score in DCI. I don't think your in any position to argue with that one.
  18. We marched toghether and didn't even talk for almost all of spring training. Then we talked found out we had a lot in common and it went from there. We only live a little bit more then an hour from each other and can see each other about every weekend.
  19. I know this topic was buried for a little while but I can't believe what I'm reading. The Cadets contra lines are one of only 3 that I always notice for having incredible drill and musical responsiblities and pulling it off. The Blue Devil lines are good playing wise but honestly how hard is drill when you stay in between the same people the whole show or when your intervals don't change the show or whatever there doing over there. I give my props to the Cavies, Cadets, SCV, and Phantom lines because when you watch the demand there lines have you really feel bad for those guys. But they make it look really good and easy.
  20. Any other time I would have said Cadets 93 or 95 or Cavies 03 or Cadets 03 but when I was talking to a member of the Cadets who marched in 93 and after talking to several staff members who marched 98 and 99 Cadets my decision was made. I am going to vote for Cadets 05 only because all of those people said that this was quite possibly one of the hardest shows to hit the field. so I went back and watched the instant dvd i have from semis and realized that this might very well be one of the most demanding shows imo of course. Talking about moving and playing the hornline practically never stops playing aside from the drum feature, the gaurd was amazing look at there dancers and there rifle line. AMAZING watch the drumline they are hauling across the field almost the hole show. And How about those tempos 192, 198,220 210 cmon if you can tell me thats not incredible then your in so much denial it's silly. so I am going to have to say Cadets 05.
  21. I think the Cadets mostly because they had a normal sized hornline and still produced the same sound as the bigger hornlines of phantom and madison. If you were to hear Cadets in the parking lot before the shows this would be a hands down decision for everyone IMO of course. I was shocked at how loud they played there chord progressions finals night and the Chaos tag that they played was louder then the 2000 hornline that originally played it. NOt to mention the parts in Kill Bill and Liquid that was just crazy loud. My vote goes to Cadets.
  22. so I was watching the instant dvd from semis and saw so much more stuff in the Cadets show that i missed the first time that i saw it. At first I thought the show was a littl dry visually until I noticed the Shower head that was pouring water or the whirlpool that was happening, or the huge waterfall. I saw and umbrella and even a shark or something like that. The visual aspect of there show is stunning to me now theres so many things to look for. I can't wait to see the high cam angle on the dvd so i see more things. To say that this show was not demanding is just stupid. Yea your allowed to have your own opinion but common this is amazing stuff. This is deff going down in my best shows of all time.
  23. That was something the Cadet tuba line wanted to do but the head hanchos of the thing said not to because it would take to long. But i guess Madison did it anyways. OH WELL
  24. Sorry that was an original composition that only that small group has
