I think that's completely accurate. People have been so absorbed w/ the show and waiting for specific moments like "here it comes" that the anticipation of elements has taken the place of the yell. There's just so freaking much going on!

I do like the singing better than the narrative speaking! I think it just flows better. And like other statements within this thread, the mic and mixing makes all the difference. And remember corp...when possible, be live...not Memorex.

Good hustle Cappy, but mistaken. Most recent VP score is a 19.500. I agree Brass and Guard are an uphill climb w/ BD, Boston, Crown, Bloo

I doubt the record is in jeopardy. As others have noted, you need a LOT of captions locked at #1. The concerns in captions would be Brass (Crown has been winning), Guard (BD and Boston). But you can probably chalk up a w in Percussion, GE, VP ( were at a 19.500 most recently) MA, but I'm guessing a 98.85

Will definitely be in Indy and excited to see what changes take place across all corps.

Not insulting BD at all. They are the best drum corps in the land and they have proved it 18 times! They know what they are doing and i’m Sure you know that too. But your Babel tower reference was flawed and my corellary although anecdotal, was accurate. We can just agree that there are different strokes for different folks.

That’s a puzzle. The art is at the end and just a rendering of another’s creation. The music, mood and movement is the focus. Just like SCV, and BDcorno’s comment about the Tower of Babel being 6-8 feet high. That’s like saying there wasn’t a painter with a brush in the BD show.

True. BD was the first to pop a 94, and SCV skipped over the 94's and went to a 95. I think if all goes well in Massillon...perhaps a 96.350 isn't out of the realm of possibility.
