Absolutely there are other influences .. but when you watch Crown .. there is no question they are still Crown .. not appropriations from elsewhere. The new team seems to be working with the same materials and fabric that were there but tweaking and changing to slightly personalize .. particularly in the drill design. But I don’t watch them and think .. wow when did the Cadets move to South Carolina. Ok. Sorry I’ll stop but it is just the facts.

Yeah sorry yes. The show reeks of Crown .. to the point they use the same graphic designer for show logo and same official photographer as Crown has in the past. The guard ... Crown ppl.. the creatives are Crown and they are driving the choreography to Crown-like movements. It’s just a fact... they look and feel like Crown. I mean the list is exhaustive . the bee hive spiral .. same.. the grouping of brass in the ballad .. same staging .. the field right look after the rock sling .. same .. on and on All I’m saying is .. if you hire the guy from Chanel to work at Givenchy .. you expect a different dress.

Hmmm ... so I’m trying to get behind the Bloo show. Since I don’t like the Beatles, challenge #1 .. I mean I don’t dislike it but I also don’t go .. wow that is a gold medal show .. but I could say the same about the top six. Was happy to see scores level out some.

Maybe you all can explain the concept of dressing the guard basically in the same color ways or uniforms as the rest of the Corp. Third year in a row so .. clearly with intention?

IMHO .. when I saw the SCV show last year, even at the preview. It was obviously a pretty special show. Just all the pieces and parts were working .. one of those shows that put it all together. Same with BD Metamorph. Same with Bloo Downside Up .. even E=MC2 was “that” show. I don’t sense that kind of show is out there this year so maybe the competition is a little more open ... But ... it tends to go as you outlined

Yeah I don’t get the lack of sparkle comment for Crown. It is a very driven show that hits hard .. and definitely not about tinker bell notes. I see determination in the Corp It’s hard for me to be objective about the Bluecoats show ... I just hate the Beatles, and I love their execution but not their staging style over many years .. I still say BAC = Carolina Crown North .. even down to the Goliath show graphics that look exactly like Relentless. Haven't seen BD or SCV You can hate on me now

Well crap .. I am a little concerned about Crown’s schedule. They are off most of next week too. They need some head2head competitions ... I could see percussion was killing it tonight (I think highest score of season for caption) .. but in all it felt a little slow off the bench. The scores out of Allentown sure seem high but... every night is a new night. Go Crown!!

Some are saying this is the year ... The show is at the level to take Gold. Early I know but ... go Crown.

Interesting .. the score driver for Crown is GE2. It was a great show tonight but I was on multi-cam. I need to watch high cam to see GE better. Guard was cleaner for sure.
