  1. "There's no peace for the wicked" gives me chills every time
  2. Also learned the riff from (2nd movement?) today on my synthesizer. Time to inevitably overplay it on every keyboard instrument
  3. When I was watching the girl in red's hat came off and a guard girl behind her picks it up. Is that supposed to happen?
  4. LET'S DO THIS!!!! SHOW EM THE POWER OF DARK SHOW THEMES!!!
  5. The toaster slot joke from BL&L got my whole theater row laughing. They need to give them an "I Survived The Toaster Slot" shirt
  6. Also why does "to walk or run in west harlem" sound so familiar as a title? Has someone else played that song before? I feel like I've seen it on other setlists
  7. Out of the loop, who or what is Elsa? I also quite liked Juliet, No Walk Too Far and Harmonic Journey 2021 too
  8. Oooh I really liked this one. I think this may be my favorite phantom show that isn't Spartacus
  9. Did Cavaliers finally follow through with the Niagara Falls riff tonight?
  10. Stepped out for a bit of pre-Halloween shopping, where we at? (definitely did NOT almost buy a red fedora because of the mandarins)
  11. Don't worry, it's just the Cavaliers new marketing tactics
  12. Well said. I treat DCI as more like being a fan of a touring band than a sports thing. Yes, there's an element of competition and yes, someone wins but you get to see all these AMAZING musical performances under one roof. So what if my favorites don't win? That doesn't take away the fact that the music will be stuck in my head forever.
  13. I'm jealous of yall who can claim you liked Troopers before it was cool. I'm obsessed with this show. It is like nothing I have seen or heard before. This show perfectly targets my weak spots of "dark" (in music, not visuals or theme) and "experimental" drum corps. Absolutely hyped to see what comes next from them
  14. I knew the Mandarins WEREN'T going to be a one hit wonder the second I saw them live for the first time in 2022. It's amazing how they keep growing exponentially every year.
  15. This is my second time living vicariously through DCP threads- I wish for many more in the future, until I can actually go out there and cross off one of my biggest bucket list items!
  16. I don't stand because I'm in a theater. Kept the headbanging to a minimum this year but that one Sinnerman riff and "a chapel, a chapel, a chapel" almost broke me
  17. I love the idea behind this- at first it looks like just another fun "art show", but actually has deep and disturbing undertones.
  18. Literally my mantra when it comes to this fanbase (do, do, do, do better, you can do, do better)
  19. If someone ever asks for a year by year analysis of Bluecoats shows I'm sending them this
  20. What a fascinating idea! I totally think we need more DCI "fanworks" out there
