  1. But even if there was no penalty, they would have tied for 2nd. To me that's the more interesting story...
  2. Who knows when those kids will get the chance to see that again. They also did the exhibition last year, so why not take the kids to see something spectacular
  3. Lambertville Volunteers - 1979 - 2003 (I think) Sunrisers 1990-2000, 2002
  4. Al - Chris said that with inflation he'd let it go as high as $15 but NOT A PENNY MORE!!! Very nice to the guy who got 3 for $10 - BRAVO Chris and I will be sitting by our pool in our new home on Sunday night with Hawaiian shirts on!!! Good luck to everyone
  5. 2. Anyone know who marched in the most DCA Finals as a performer (not drum major, or American Section..must be horn, drum or guard)..My bet is on Mike Ryan of the Cabs who marched in 30 straight DCA finals from 1975-2004. I'm thinking Larry Visconti for Sun may be in the running for this. I know he started in 1972...can't remember his last year marching - maybe last year or the year before. 5. Is there anyone out there who marched in all 3 of DCA's worst quagmires..the 1987 DCA prelims, the 1999 finals and the 2006 prelims? ( 2 of them were in Allentown ) I'm thinking Larry again...not sure if he marched last year or not but I know he was there in 87 and 99.
  6. Thanx Shari for getting the word out. As soon as anyone gets any information, please post it here. This is such a shame...
  7. Thanx for putting this up Frank...I was out here to put this up, but glad to see it's here.
  8. Add an * next to the Sunrisers, they've come back twice....
  9. What Terri said! Nice to see some familiar faces back with the corps, as part of the board, teaching, marching! I wish I could be there to see how the open house goes...Larry, Tony, someone take lots of pictures!!! B) b**bs
  10. No - we didn't borrow - they let us have it after Milton 'entertained' them..... Al/Fran - You got the seal of approval from Chris - especially Fran's the colors and everything are perfect!! GOOD Luck everyone!!!!
  11. Thanx for the pictures!!!! I'll have to make sure that Chris sees the picture to get approval, but I'm 99% sure he'll love it your shirt Fran - and yours too Al! Thanx Al - I'll tell Chris you said HEY - maybe I'll even get him to say hey here! His cell is the same LI number... Chris/Rick - The only thing I really remember about 1996 is Milton at the party....and I'll leave it there!
  12. Thanx Kay!!! Can't wait to see the picture!!! I'll be sure to show it to Chris
  13. Al - Chris says thanx for the mention! And remember, no more than $9.99 for a shirt. Eckerts in Wildwood still has them on sale!! Fran or anyone who sees Fran - Chris would like to see pictures of these 'alleged' shirts that would make him proud. He's willing to go as high as $12.99 with inflation but THAT'S IT!! Sounds like everyone had a good time last night - GOOD LUCK to ALL!! Patty & Chris
  14. 1993 mini-corps...The Sunrisers. We weren't great, but it was what kept us going so we could come back in 1994. The two things I remember most about that night was all the alumni that were at I&E sang Battle Hymn with us, and Fran Haring announcing the corps for the first time in competition in 1993....
  15. THANX TONY!! You're catching that everywhere for me! Dawn - Thanx so much for the kind words! Be careful with the emulating thing - remember what my life was back then! HAHAHA....I still remember your parents dropping you off at our New Years Ever party, and let you STAY!!! Back on Topic - Larry/Tom/Dea - when's the next rehearsal?
  16. I completely agree with what Tony & Dawn said!! Even after the rocky start I got with Larry (still laughing about that Larry).... I was accepted into the 'family' and have stayed there ever since. Even now that I'm 3000 miles away, I know that any/all of the Sun alumni family is there if ever needed...as I am here for any fellow Sunrisers, young, old, current, past..... Of course Fran was the first one to make reservations for DCI, 2007at Sun Central West! BEST OF LUCK Sun!!!!
  17. WOW - thanx Glenn for that answer! Nice picture by the way. Chris says HEY!
  18. CONGRATS to Miranda and Frank! A special CONGRATS to The Sunrisers for all their HARD work and accomplishments this year! I remember what it was like coming back from the 'dead' in 1993 - I'm feeling your sweat and tears....and it's definitely paying off!!! I am a very proud alumni !!!! You are all true Sunrisers!!!
  19. Great Pictures Glen!!!!! Keep 'em coming!!
  20. Ditto to what Fran said! Just keep going and keep striving - We're proud of everything you've accomplished and what you will accomplish this weekend!!!
  21. This article could be either the longest or the shortest in DCW - depending on the amount of censorship!!!! Hmmm Fran - where to start......even if I wasn't there I know SO many stories...and may have some pictures too!!
  22. Fran - I'm sorry I missed watching Sky's Alumni on the front sideline with you this year...did you stand in front of the baritones as usual?
  23. NOW I remember Shari - that was TOO funny......!!!!!!
