Congrats Crown! Of the top 3 programs in this show I thought yours was the best. Excellent job Boston and Bluecoats and everybody, really. Troopers and Music City, I really enjoy your shows!

Man, when I think of the grueling heat BD and the other corps had to perform in last night and still give it their all…I am even more impressed. I hope everyone stayed hydrated yesterday and is doing well today!

Everybody was fantastic. Great show, watching from Flo. I really, really enjoyed Blue Stars, Crown, Troopers, and Phantom, but was impressed by every corps. Great job!

Very well said. The energy spent trying to mind-control a corps into performing a show centered around personal preferences might be better spent just enjoying the shows that already cater to that preference. Let the corps be what they want to be.

I like it! Didn’t think I’d be into the anime part of it, seeing as I don’t care for anime, but it’s good music, and more peppy and playful than usual, which I like. I already see pieces of paintings almost coming together, just like in the painting cutouts, so I think that’s cool. Looking forward to the rest of what I think is another killer show from Blue Devils!

Maybe they should add wording like “For all intents and purposes, a 10.1 in a caption is defined as a perfect score” and keep the upper range limit for a judge to adjudicate to 10.0. Then maybe we’ll be done with this argument for a while.

That’s unfortunate others feel that way, in my view. It’s one of my favorite. Almost up there to most of the music from Frameworks, to me. Oh well, I’ll continue to enjoy it as I always have!

2009 Cavaliers is also a program that sticks out in my mind as an under appreciated show. I thoroughly enjoy the treatment of each individual musical piece, and they all fit together beautifully. The Engulfed Cathedral is one of my favorite ballads. I love how it builds to the big statement. Listening to that show just makes me feel…refreshed. Honestly, 2009 was a banger of a year for drum corps to me.
