Folks, Cossetti is ok. I am no longer on Facebook, so I have no idea what is floating on the net regarding Jim. These things I do know: I visited him in the hospital last week. We had such a good visit that the nurses weren't happy with the noise level coming from his room. He's been home for days. He walks, talks, farts, but doesn't poop his pants any more than before. Had a great Turkey Day yesterday. Dot says "he's still a pain in the ###". Just spoke with James and he wants you to know "he's not dead yet"......"not even close", and he'll be back online soon. Be well friends, Jerry

Yeah, I forgot about the guy on the microphone in Lawrence. Definitely adds his own flavor (in a good way) to the show experience! Safe travels to the Cabs and we'll see you Saturday night!! Jerry -
Frank, You are right on center with your comment about the person fitting in. Positive large group dynamics depend upon everyone "swimming in the same direction". Another thing that can get in the way of a potential over 40 member is their health. When someone can't take 32 steps across a gym floor in the winter without wheezing for 5 minutes afterward, chances are, they've mistreated their body for a number of years and a competitive corps may not be the "right fit" for that person. Heck, some individuals join corps in their late teens and can't hack it even though they are young and "look" as if they can. Attitude, aptitude and a good set of legs and lungs will get darn near anybody through a season of competitive corps. Quoting Yoda...."Do or do not! There is no try." Jerry

Linked page has been updated. Battery percussion have been selling and we still have some pieces left. 6 snares, 2 tenors, 1 bass (the big one). Some brass and pit instruments available as well. How 'bout those tuba and euphonium prices? Jerry

Lois, Let's just meet them at "Mike and Dot's". We can enjoy a refreshing beverage and some good times! Jerry -
Skeptic, I don't get you. In two sentences you say that you have haven't seen either corps this year and therefore, have nothing to say about them. Then in the next two sentences, you have something to say. Sheesh! Jerry P.S. We wish all of the corps traveling to Jamestown, safe travels and great performances!

The 4 points that you make are spot on! The Buccaneers did participate in the show that Shenandoah Sound sponsored in Manassas, VA over the July 4th weekend in 2008. Regarding the points made by the above poster, on that weekend in 2008, the planets aligned for our drum corps and that allowed us to be part of the show. Jerry

The key phrase in this matter is "North American corps." Jerry

Be sure to give me a call if one of your stops will be the "Hot Grill". We rehearse right across the street from there. A huge perk indeed!! Or...perculation, if I might say.... Jerry -
Yeah....too many 12's. Fixed my original post. And I remember from listening to the tapes about 7,000 times. Of course, I saw your show live almost every time our corps were at the same contest and prelims and finals, because my corps was baaadddd and went on early all of the time. Remembering those days.... Jerry

Here's a clue. 123, 12, 12, 123, 12, 12 Jerry Edited because it was in 7/8 not 9/8....hehe

LMAO....Yep, you've got me pegged. And with the skirt, hopefully, comes the wisdom to stand far enough from the fence so as not to get drenched in the DCP "pithing" (pronunciation with a lisp) contest. Jerry
