Really missing drum corps right now. For the first time in several years, I'm not concerned about what next year may bring.

San Antonio APD's are very good quality - if you're on the fence, they're worth buying.

Seems like for two weeks now the ratings may have compressed, but the rankings have been steady for the top 5. Not so sure any changes will happen this week.

So far, I think Phantom is winning for best new uniform. Strangely enough, Academy's quasi-mariachi look is a 2nd in my book.

So first it was Crown's world for us to live in, then Cavaliers, then Cadets, now BD. What a crazy season.

So wait, everyone on DCP has now been accused of hating the Blue Devils, Cadets, Cavaliers, Carolina Crown, SCV, Bluecoats, Glassmen, Crossmen, Spirit, Teal Sound, Pioneer and Blue Knights...? Did I miss anyone?

So, I'm guessing no more preseason recordings, as the season is now a week old? So only BD released one this year... sad. They provide an intimacy no competition recording ever can match.

So, what'd I miss?

So... my Fan Network subscription expires in two weeks, but we haven't heard anything about the new year? Argh - par for the course - FN is sometimes cursed.

Taking my 8 and 10 year olds to their first shows this week. My show review ought to be ... interesting.

Tama's marching snares look interesting, but the snare assemblies seem, if anything, *over*built.

The more I think about it, the more I like Madison with the white ties rather than the neckerchiefs.

The season isn't even one contest old yet. Little early to be talking about whether the shows are successes or not yet.

This past season really made me feel positive about the activity and the direction it's going.

Very tired of the BD/CC debate - either enjoy both, don't enjoy both or let's just hope Phantom can jump from 3rd to 1st again and render it all moot.
