I think Phantom can relax a bit... top 12 finish for sure sure now I think.

Couldn't agree more.... I rarely hear any real emotion in the musical arrangements these days.... it feels like a case of cramming in as many notes as possible for a few bars then move on to the next song (and repeat).

Fingers crossed for Spirit to be back in finals...

Out of the ones I know.... 83 - brass feast and gorgeous arrangements. 86 - oz 82 - brass feast 87 - West side story 91 - Camelot 88 - Sound of music 89 - March DCI needs Sky Ryders back, along with Freelancers, Suncoast Sound, Velvet Knights, Star of Indiana, and Spirit back to their old ways!

Summertime... beautiful solo. But cracks one note. Oh well...

We are also aware of the saying too... even in Europe (England)!

If you look at the 89 video, SCV seem to be marching a space or 2! Take a look... although its been a while since Ive seen it.

Spirit - Georgia Suncoast Sound - The greatest Love of All (both pull on the heart strings)

VK 91 (the year they didn't make finals)... Drumming really out of time on the last few bars of the show. Spirit 88 Whoever moaned about Spirit 88... that was a great show (as were all their shows)! BD 89 To be fair on the guy, I have heard allot worse from a BD soloists or other DC soloists. The fact that he was so musically exposed on his own is the reason why everyone remembers it as the worst. The rest of the solo was very well played (who can argue that). We are talking one note here. Have you ever heard Maynard Ferguson play before? He's always missing stuff. Try listening to some other DC sop solos in the past where they are trying to play high and it just don't work. Its much worse that BD 89.

Very very tempting, but near impossible I'm afraid! Hope all is well.... :)
