Pioneer was only .7 behind surf tonight, who knows, maybe they'll catch them!

I'm just curious, why is there some much hate for VK? Whenever there is a thread about them, it turns into a dramathon and people barking back and fourth at each other. As an outsider looking in, all I know is they were once a very good DCI corps that made finals for a number of years. Then like many corps over the years, they fell from the ranks. Now they have been putting a product on the field now for a number of years and they seem to be enjoying themselves. So my question again is, why all the negativity when someone posts about VK?

Every year people start questioning The Academy and thier schedule, it's getting old. The are other World Class corps doing less shows this year thean they are, go to dci.org and check out the lower tier corps and you'll see. This is just smart business on thier part,."If" they have the 8k, they would have gone, so instead of going into debt over a couple of shows, they prepare to hit the last 4 weeks of the season with a ton of shows, well played Academy.

Ashley is awesome, when she started marching with the Raiders, we knew she was going to be center snare somewhere as she developed more an more into a better musician...I remember when she was not called back by the Cadets, how determined she was to be in a top drumline and how much she wanted to be the best she could be. Hopefully with some time off, this injury will heal and she can return to the field.

They are fine where they are, every World Class corps should have a "feeder" corps or be affiliated with a Open Class corps.

They lost by a tenth of a point to a "safer" Cadets Show. How funny is that a "safer" Cadets show! I was lucky to see the 93 Star show about 12 times that year, you had lovers and haters, no in between. But on Finals night, that place went crazy when they were done, I like many others thought they won. The conversation will go on and on, but the bottom line is, it was something different that shaped a new direction for drum corps, just like the Bridgemen did back in 1976, just like the Cadets did in 2005. I also think it's ironic that Star is playing at DCI this year, they same year we are filled with controversy about the G7 too!

I can yell you, we were at the Barnum Museum 1 hour before everthing happened. WOW, an hour later the skies turned black and 20 minutes later it looked like a bomb went off. Buildings were leveled, the city was in a state of emergency. My parents got thier power on by noon on Friday and they were one town over. I did see that a post went out of FB that the show and parade was on!

When I was working for YEA! Dan and a few others were visiting the offices and when I asked about grabbing lunch later he said, yep, we are going to HamFam! Stay away from Yocco's Hot Dogs!

Why? I would consider Drum Corps World more than a reliable source for information. I was just asking a questions about a comment made by a news agency.

Drum Corps World is Reporting on Facebook that DCI decided on Major Changes that will effect the activity, does anyone know what this is all about? DCW POST
