  4. What happen to Esperanza (San Diego)?
  5. Desc: Clamp with a 4" x 5" plate for all SPD- and TD-Series modules lets you mount your module on a stand or drum rack. Long story short, after a huge mishap with Musicians Friend, I now have 2 new ones, still in it's packaging, Roland Drum Clamps. I'm selling it for $45.00 each plus shipping. Various outlets online sells it for 50-65 bucks. Respond if interested. Keep in mind that most outlets online advertise the clamp with screws. Roland has confirm to me that screws are sold separately. Most outlets are not aware of this. Hence the fiasco with MF.
  6. My Condolences to the Family and the Colts Organization. On the topic of spreading the word. The Blue Devils and YEA has posted the story on their website. Hoping this will add awareness and support to the family in this very difficult time. Just had my little girl born 4 months ago, I can't even imagine her passing before I go. Thank you Greg for the updates and will have all in my prayers. -Jeff
  7. Drumline Ending followed by Chopper effect 1992 Crossmen - Drum Feature 1993 Rain at Finals 1993 BD Chain Reaction - Corps Stops and belts it out, the soloist rocked 1993 Star - Accellarondo after the drum feature by the whole corps 1994 BD - End of Day Danse 1995 Cavies 1997 SCV Drum Feature - (For me because SCV's drumline was back) 1999 SCV end of Symphony No. 2 2004 SCV company front 2006 Phantom Regiment
  8. 1993 SCV had 6, might have been the smallest SCV snareline. Oh BTW Phantom Regiment 93, 94, 96 marched 7 snares
  9. Click on the link below on his time with Star of Indiana before he passed: http://www.cookgroup.com/star/history/rec4.html
  10. Keep in mind that even though SCV placed 5th, the drumline placed 2nd. That drumline was excellent, love Casella's writing that year and what execution by them. What a precursor to the legendary 04 drumline.
  11. Ditto, what was great about the SCV 91 was the stereo effect they pulled off. Having the sound travel from one side to another.
  12. http://join.scvanguard.org/battery_requirements.cfm Audition Info Posted, no mention about snare grip technique, appears that you have to download the audition packet from tapspace to find out. Some of the sweet warmup beats will come back like Cheezy Poofs, Flammus, etc
  13. http://join.scvanguard.org/ From the percussion perspective, no mention about snare grip technique, appears that you have to download the audition packet from tapspace to find out. Some of the sweet warmup beats will come back like Cheezy Poofs, Flammus, etc
  14. For Cadets show, yes....Of all time, I would have to say 1992 VK
  15. and look at what happen in 2005. BUT!!! Things to consider, 2005 had young line and IMO perhaps more talent will go to SCV this time around if they stay with the traditional grip. So I think they will be competitive.
  16. I believe Mason wrote the Cavies book from 94-98 and at least to my knowledge he also arranged for Phantom Regiment in 01-02. Please feel to correct me if I'm off here, just going off by memory. So take a listen to those arrangements. And yes, let's bring back the tilt, it all started with SCV in 98 and I hope there's no match grip. 94-95 and 05 brought undesireable results. Also keep checking with TapSpace.com, most likely will see SCV Audition music packets.
  17. I believe Mike Stevens was the Percussion Cap Head
  18. DISCLAIMER: Pure Speculation Perhaps Jim Casella or Ralph Hardimon could write, don't know if the Cavies will have issue with Casella arranging for a competitor.

  20. Interested to see if the Cavies go with Hans Zimmer's Last Samurai soundtrack or maybe. Kodo Thunder with out the energizer bunny, inflatible godzilla, converse shows, pit member pulling a blow up doll across the field, but I digress.
  21. Played in Fullerton College Jazz Band and Symphonic Winds (96-98) sporting BD T-shirt every chance that shirt was clean. Thought it was funny that you would have never known he marched VK.
  22. ok, can we move on. Seems like it's off topic now. PM each other for crying out loud. Let's get back to SCV staff changes not a thesis on who can arrange better or lack of arranging for SCV. :sshh:
  23. Is there a possibility of Dean Westman returning?
