If you have a day or two take a drive around the Finger Lakes toward Ithaca or Watkinc Glen. Its wonderfull in Sept and you can pick vitually any route. If you just want a closer sample of the area go to Canandaigua. Easy day trip that can include Eastview Mall. Any trip to Roch MUST include a trip to Nicks Hots n Potatos for a garbage plate(or two)I went to Nick Tahous 2 years ago on my 1st trip back to Roch in 35 years and one cook and Nicks(correct me if u know)sister?(I didnt want to ask) remembered me from my high school days. I used to race motorcycles with Rochester Indian Company on nearby Favor St and we ate there alot. The one accross town on Lyell Ave actually had higher prices than Nicks and 1/10th the atmosphere. Eat on Main St early because unless they changed recently they closed at 8pm when I was there at DCA 2 years ago.

It might have gotten quiet on the Key West tour but the furniture there was unscathed. The guide should have told you Hemingway committed suicide at his other home in Ketchum Idaho.

The Irondequoit STATESMEN(I played with them then) played King of Kings off the line circa 1965...and beat St joes(my corps now) 2x in indoor contests...Vinnie(the incomparable V Bruni...changed the OTL and we didnt win again all season LOL

I am a native ROCHestarian...and I attended the show in 2008. I hafta wonder..is this the best venue for DCA??? I felt like i was visiting a 3rd world country...vacant houses abound...very depressing.

Yup I didnt march after age 23...Am Legion Championship under my belt (Cru defeated the legendary Cabs at Soldies Field Chicago 1972).9 NYS championships...and having met the likes of Vince Bruni...the Allen family(yo Donnie n Jimmy) and ultra talented Dave Martin(yup..Dave..I do look up 2ya)....there are dozens more...from Ricky Samsel/Frank Panepento/Harold McJury/Tommy Cecere/Mary Larken/' to Sully and COZ ...the St Joes list goes on...and that isnt even my Roch Cru list...Goldie n Mike Linton..U RULE!!!!
