Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Phantom's corps song "Amazing Grace"? The Colts' corps song, "Morning," was written by an a cappella group named Vox One, and was first performed by the Colts in 1998.

That entire season they were sitting 13th-15th (including being more than 3 full points below Velvet Knights at one point), and lit it up come finals. Not bad for a corps that got 20th the prior year

Dirty or not, 99 SCV is still my favorite show of all time. The power and emotion has hardly been matched by anyone. You need to get on with that tape, MAV!

I would, but my past three years with Colts may give the image of a bias, no matter what my opinion may or may not be. That isn't to say I'm not rooting hard for them, though.

Happened right in front of me. Kind of freaky, having to stay focused and having these jerks to deal with. It was really heartwarming to know, though, how much our staff care for us, in the way that they handled it.

It's funny that you mention the Omaha crowd. That show this past summer, from a performer's point of view, was one of the most fun out of the year. Great, responsive, crowd, and very welcoming off the field as well. From an Omaha native's point of view, I'd venture to say 50% of that audience (or more) has never been to a drum corps show in their life. Just sayin'

Absolute worst showers ever: Rock Island, IL and Prattville, AL. Rock Island showers felt like you were being peed on by liquid hot magma. Prattville showers made you feel dirtier after showering. Besides the fact that only ONE shower head worked, it had little to no pressure, and the water smelled and felt really icky.

And Colts... ...and I'm pretty sure some others...
