  1. I second this. I would let my kid march wherever they wanted to. If there was something vehemently wrong, like a safety issue, that's a different story, but I would want my child to march wherever they want to. I know that my parents might not have wanted me to march where I did originally, but I did and it ended up being a wonderful experience. Until someone has marched somewhere, no one knows how the everyday running of the corps goes.
  2. Other than my homer corps... Blue Stars! I absolutely love them.
  3. No, I watched him numerous times this year. All he did was play that part.
  4. I loved 99, 03, 04,05, and 07. Those were some great years. By the way if you look on a certain video site, there's a tuba cam of 2007. It's cool.
  5. Well, first off you need to buy a PC. :P Sorry, I really don't know how to help you.
  6. Well, I'm not quite finished with college yet, but I'm not planning on making a career in music. Music is mostly my hobby.
  7. Yes, well that was the ESPN intro. I don't remember the bio of the corps well enough to call that.
  8. What? I seem to remember it being very split here. There was a poll saying which show did you think was better, and Cadets did just as well as Star. I loved them both, but Cadets 93 was amazing. 1.Cadets 2.BD 3.Cavies 4.Phantom
  9. My parents helped out a lot. I also sold my blood plasma for a semester.
  10. Granted it's over but hey we have TiVo. Drink every time they make a joke about the Cavaliers and "Pressure." (My god). Every time Vanguard does a move from the 70s.
  11. I've got one, I was in my chemistry lab the other day, and I randomly sit next to this girl, and it's on the day that we picked lab partners. I'm wearing my SCV shirt, and we get up and walk into the room, and we become partners I guess from sitting next to each other. We get about halfway through the lab, and she blurts out, "Do you march drum corps?" I was pretty shocked, as it was the first time a stranger had said anything to me about corps. I told her that I marched this summer and blah blah, then I learned that her boyfriend marched Blue Knights a few years ago. It was really cool, and now I have a drum corps buddy who's a lab partner too.
  12. 1979 Troopers at Prelims in Birmingham. 2003 Phantom Regiment - Finals 1982 Santa Clara Vanguard - Finals
  13. Definitely SCV and Cavies. I loved And So It Goes, it was the best musical show of the year. SCV had the all around package, it was great.
  14. Under: Cavaliers. That was the best music book I have heard from them since 2000. I enjoyed their show immensely. It was difficult as all heck too. A really great show, it'll be on my ipod soon. Over: I don't really think anyone was overrated.
  15. As someone else said, The Ecstasy of Gold/Ghost Riders in the Sky from Troopers 1979. The mellophone soli in the tag of Cavaliers 07.
  16. This is horrible, all people near Virginia Tech are in my thoughts and prayers. This is absolutely horrifying.
  17. There was also Bluecoats and Star at the end of the trailer. I'm guessing: BD SCV PR Madison Cadets Cavies Star and the last spot is up for grabs, I have no idea.
  18. According to fromthepressbox.com, Madison had a 0.1 penalty in 1997. I thought that someone said that the penalty was because the pirate stuck the sword in the ground right before the company front. I'm not sure, but that's all that I thought.
