  5. Memorial Day Weekend Camp Here we go! It is time to start putting the show on the field. This weekend is our 3 day Memorial Day Camp, there will be new music and drill. This is not a sleep over camp, but each day will have a full schedule. Check in is 9am each day by the truck at Cabrillo Beach Youth Center and rehearsals will be just down the street at 22nd Street Park. Below are all the details.   9. Hello DCP Community, I wanted to announce that we have a new marching organization this summer in Indiana: Indianapolis Ignition. We are doing an early summer SoundSport season with an eye in the next few years towards launching an open class drum and bugle corps. We're looking for members to fill out our roster, so if you know anyone around Indiana who was not able to join a corps or recently aged out, we would love to have them. Heat Wave Of Florida's April camps: We will have a precussion camp April 18th & 19th starting at 8:30 a.m. This is a FULL weekend camp The following weekend: April 25th and 26th we will hold a FULL CORPS REHEARSAL beginning at 08:30 Apr 25th. Both camps will be held at Inverness Middle School 1950 Hwy 41 in Inverness, Florida We have a few openings left in the line for Baritones, Tubas Mellophone, Front ensemble, and Bass Drums. As of April 26th, all spots will be solidified, and no further applicants will be accepted, so if you're interested, this is the time to act. The Reading Buccaneers Drum & Bugle Corps will present its 2015 “Spring Preview” indoor concert on Saturday, May 9, 7:00 p.m. at Twin Valley High School, Elverson, PA. As always, the show will bring a host of exciting active and alumni corps to the stage. • The Reilly Raiders, Philadelphia, PA - Internationally known and one of the largest, most storied alumni corps • The Skyliners, Scranton, PA – DCA’s newest active open class corps • The Seldon Cadets, Long Island, NY – Performing their championship repertoire of the 1950’s and ‘60’s • St. Rita’s Brassmen Alumni, Brooklyn, NY – “Keeping our Memories Alive - The Elephant in the Room!” • Reading Buccaneer Alumni, Reading, PA – Recreating championship excitement from the 1960’s, ‘70’s and ‘80’s. • The Reading Buccaneers, Reading, PA – The reigning 2014 DCA World Champions premiering their 2015 show: “Twist It!” The event will begin with a buffet style chicken dinner in the school cafeteria from 3:00-6:30.   16. SDCA Texas is announcing the formation of a The Texas All Stars Alumni corps. This will be a parade corps comprised of former members of any corps. The corps will perform at parades around Texas, and is open to anyone who wants to participate. The first performance of the corps will be on May 2, in Corpus Christi Texas(on the Gulf of Mexico), for the Buccaneer Days Night Parade. The Buccaneer Days Night parade, draws approximately 200,000 people, and would be a good way to gain exposure for Drum and Bugle corps in Texas. We are planning a entire weekend of fun for anyone who wants to join us. We are planning to participate in other parades/events, in other parts of the state. if you are interested , send me a private message, for more info.
  17. An message from our corps director: The Centurions Drum and Bugle corps will take on a new direction for the 2015 season. As a rebuilding year, the corps will focus on its membership and staff while strengthening its relationship with the alumni and community. With a conservative rehearsal schedule, performances will focus on (but not limited to) Ensembles, Individual, Exhibitions and Parades. “The fun of performing” will be emphasized this year as the corps embarks on a road less traveled. With this in mind, the corps continues to seek enthusiastic, motivated and creative individuals to bring this vision to light. We are based out of Rainsville, Alabama and will be serving musicians of the Northeast Alabama/Southern Tennessee/Northwest Georgia region.
